How can I get the Github Education student pack ?
I have applied for it but its been a day and I can't see any voucher to get the certificate for free of github foundations

Here’s exactly how the GitHub Education Student Pack approval works and why you don’t see the GitHub Foundations exam voucher yet, even after 1 day:

✅ 1. Approval is NOT instant — 2–5 days is normal

GitHub Education usually takes:

24–48 hours (fast cases)

Up to 5 days during high-volume periods

Weekends/holidays slow it down

So 1 day is completely normal.
You just need to wait a bit more.

✅ 2. How to check your application status

Go to:

You will see one of these statuses:

Pending → still under review

Needs Action → missing documents or verification

Approved → access granted

If it still shows Pending, you're fine.

✅ 3. After approval, the Student Pack DOES NOT give the voucher automatically

This is what confuses many students.

You get the GitHub Foundations exam voucher only after:

✔️ Your Student Developer Pack is approved, AND
✔️ You go to the GitHub Certifications page inside the Education Portal

It appears here:

When approved, you will see a button:

"Redeem Voucher"

If your pack is still pending, this page will not show anything.

🧩 Common reasons for delays

If GitHub needs to verify your:

School email

Student ID card

Enrollment letter

School domain

If the school is recognized as an accredited institution

Then approval takes longer.

🟦 Tip: Make sure your student proof is correct

If you uploaded:

Unclear student ID

Expired ID

Screenshot without your name

Images without school name/date

They may silently delay or request more info.
