Hi, I’d like to ask about the upgrade process from a GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES) trial environment to a fully licensed one.

We are currently supporting a customer who plans to adopt GHES.
However, due to delays on the contract process with GitHub Sales, our schedule is becoming very tight.
To avoid further delays, we are considering starting with a GHES trial environment first.

Before proceeding, I would like to confirm a few things:

If we build a GHES environment using the free trial, will all data (repositories, settings, user data, etc.) remain intact after upgrading to a full license?
In other words, is the trial instance directly upgradable without losing data?

In case the GHES contract is not completed in time, is it an acceptable approach to temporarily use the trial environment and later apply the license once it is issued?
Is this considered a valid path for moving into production usage?

Any guidance or official references would be greatly appreciated.
