Why is my GitHub achievement badge "Pair Extraordinaire" suddenly hidden?

I used to have two Extraordinaire badges, but now I can't see them. What's wrong? If you have a good solution, please let me know.

1. Go to Settings > Profile settings on GitHub and ensure "Show Achievements on my profile" is enabled.
2. Under your profile page, view “Achievements”. Check if the badge is simply hidden (there should be a way to “unhide” if you hid it before).
3. Double-check that the pull requests you co-authored are still merged and that the commit messages still include the correct “Co-authored-by:” line (or were committed correctly via GitHub Desktop).
4. Make a new co-authored PR (even trivial) with correct formatting and merge it, see if that triggers your badge to reappear.
5. If none of this works, consider that it could be a GitHub bug; in that case, you could try contacting GitHub Support or raise the issue in their community discussions (as others have done).

I will share my experience for this issue.

• In the profile settings area find "Contribution settings" dropdown menu.
• Make sure Include "Private contributions" is checked/on.
• Please wait a few minutes and refresh your profile page.

Hey, I experienced something similar with the Quick Draw badge it suddenly disappeared one day when I checked my profile.

In my case, it happened because I accidentally made my repo private, and the post/activity connected to that badge was no longer publicly accessible. As a result, the system treated it like a deleted post, and the badge was automatically revoked.

Later, I found out on Stackoverflow that:

If you received a badge for activity on a post that gets deleted, merged, moved, or becomes inaccessible, the badge can be revoked automatically.

So that might be the reason your badge disappeared as well.
