When I open Slack and want to connect to GitHub account I receive this error:

(The time window to connect your GitHub account has expired. Please return to Slack to re-start the process of connecting your GitHub account.)

This can happen if there was a delay in the process, or if you navigated away from the screen for too long. Here's how you can resolve the issue:

Restart the Process: Go back to Slack and initiate the GitHub account connection process again.

Check for Pop-up Blockers: Ensure that your web browser is not blocking pop-ups or redirects, as these are often used in the OAuth process required for account connections like this.

Browser Issues: Try using a different web browser, or open an incognito/private window and attempt the process again to avoid issues with browser extensions or cookies that may be interfering.

Clear Cache and Cookies: Sometimes, clearing your web browser's cache and cookies can resolve these issues. This can help if your browser's stored data is outdated or corrupted.

Slack App Permissions: Make sure that Slack has the necessary permissions to integrate with third-party applications like GitHub. You can check this in your Slack settings under "Apps" or "Integrations".

I found an easy solution for me.

I simply opened the GitHub channel on slack, and typed: /github signin
