Description

Update country-iso-search to v0.1.2.

Closes #7993.

Changes

  • Update dependency

Testing

  • Be on main
  • Run npm ci
  • Save the following html into the root project folder and open it in a Chromium based browser: 
     <!doctype html>
 <script src="build/plotly.js"></script>
 <div id="gd"></div>
 <script>
 Plotly.newPlot("gd", /* JSON object */ {
     "data": [{ "y": [1, 2, 3] }],
     "layout": { "width": 600, "height": 400}
 })
 </script>
  • Note the error in the devtools console
  • Switch to this branch
  • Run npm ci
  • Reload the html file
  • Note that no error occurs and the plot renders

Notes

  • country-iso-search runs a sanitize function that previously looked for literal Unicode characters in regex patterns
  • This caused errors for pages loading plotly.js without specifying that UTF-8 encoding should be used
  • The literal characters were changed to escaped ASCII characters to address the issue
