What is the bug or the crash?

1. Let's uninstall GRASS on your machine
2. Enable the "GRASS GIS Processing Provider" from Plugins dialog
3. You can adjust the provider parameters in Setiings --> Processing dialog, but there is no GRASS entry in the Processing toolbox. There is no visual message that makes you aware of the issue. I later found a message in the Processing log message:

Critical Problem with GRASS installation: GRASS was not found or is not correctly installed

I'd have expected such a message either in the message bar or in the Plugin manager dialog
