𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟓 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬! ♻️ This week, the United Nations (UN) is marking the 25th anniversary of the founding of the UN Global Compact, a global program in which companies around the world work together with the UN to promote sustainable development and increased social responsibility. The celebration takes place during the UN General Assembly in New York where world leaders are gathered these days. As Greenland's national flag carrier, we are proud to be part of United Nations Global Compact, but Air Greenland was the first Greenlandic company to become a member of the UN Global Compact in 2010. For 15 years, we have committed ourselves to following its ten principles on human rights, labor rights, sustainable development, and anti-corruption, and in recent years we have reported on the progress of the measures we are taking to live up to them. We will continue to do so, which is even more important at a time when the world is calling for sustainable solutions. #UNGlobalCompact25 #UNGC25 #UNGA80 #UNGlobalNetworkDenmark

✈️ 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐊𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐤 On Sunday, August 17, Tuukkaq was on a special mission between Nuuk and Keflavik in cooperation with HX Expeditions. After operating Copenhagen–Nuuk–Keflavik, the crew had reached the limit of their permitted duty hours. A fresh crew was therefore ready in Keflavik to take over and fly Tuukkaq safely back to Greenland and onwards to its home base in Copenhagen. Joining the mission was also our mechanic, who made sure the aircraft was ready for the next sector 🔧 Keflavik – Nuuk – Copenhagen with HX – and Air Greenland passengers. This mission is a great example of how careful planning and strong cooperation ensure smooth operations, flexibility, and – most importantly – value creation in Greenland 💚 #AirGreenland #Tuukkaq #CrewChange #HX #Teamwork #Greenland

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐞𝐬 🌫️ ✈️ Today’s flight operations required both overview and nerves of steel. Due to dense fog in Nuuk, it was decided to delay departure GL1779 out of Copenhagen. The decision was made by our skilled colleagues in the Operations Control Center (OCC) after consulting with DMI, which forecasted clearer conditions from 11:00. It turned out to be the right call. A330neo “Tuukkaq” took off at 09:16 and made its first landing attempt at 11:00 – without success. The fog still clung heavily to Nuuk. A second attempt was made at 11:46, but once again the crew had to abort the landing. Meanwhile, another aircraft appeared: a charter flight from Enter Air, where the fog had finally lifted, allowing it to land safely at 12:06. After the mandatory 15-minute separation time* required for larger aircraft to land in Nuuk, Tuukkaq got the green light again – and at 12:27, it finally touched down after one and a half hours of holding. Once again, it was one of the most tracked aircraft on Flightradar24! But the surprise of the day came from SAS 🤩 🛬 At 12:43, flight SK1294 landed – and it wasn’t just any SAS aircraft. It was LN-RGO, which by the end of next year will become Air Greenland’s future A320neo! The aircraft will join our fleet on a six-year lease and will, of course, be painted in red and equipped with the distinctive black “glasses” and dots once it’s handed over. We already lovingly call it Tuukkaaraq ❤️ Mini-Tuukkaq. 📷Check out the pictures below or 📹 watch the reel, where you can see Tuukkaq, the Enter Air flight, and the SAS aircraft all on the apron at Nuuk Airport. A special day – marked by patience, precision, and a glimpse into the future. *The 15-minute rule is a requirement by the Danish Transport Authority due to the absence of air traffic control at Nuuk Airport. #AirGreenland #FlightOperations #Fog #DMI #Tuukkaq #A330neo #Tuukkaaraq #NuukAirport #Flightradar24 #SAS #A320neo

In honor of Nuuk Pride, we want to share the steps we've taken to strengthen inclusion and LGBTQIA+ rights within Air Greenland. As Greenland’s national carrier, we have a responsibility to reflect the diversity of the communities we serve and to ensure that every team member feels seen, respected, and valued. In 2024, we established a dedicated Working Group for Inclusion, and we’re proud to share some of the meaningful progress made so far: ✅ Equal parental leave for same-sex parents, introduced before the law changed in Greenland. ✅ Strengthened zero-tolerance policies on bullying and sexual harassment. ✅ The right to refuse business travel to countries that are unsafe for LGBTQIA+ individuals. ✅ Gender-neutral uniforms so all crew and frontline staff can feel comfortable being themselves since 2023. But inclusion doesn’t stop here. The group is currently working on new initiatives, including the recognition of a third gender, the use of inclusive language, and ensuring equal access to facilities. This is an ongoing journey and we’re committed to making Air Greenland a place where everyone belongs.

✈️ 𝗧𝘂𝘂𝗸𝗸𝗮𝗾 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗫 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 Sunday 22 June was a special day for our A330neo ‘Tuukkaq’. After its morning landing in Nuuk from Copenhagen, the aircraft was prepared for an extra trip - this time heading to Keflavik and with HX Expeditions' guests on board - also on the return flight to Nuuk ✈️ 🛳️ This particular flight marked another milestone in the strong collaboration between Air Greenland and HX Expeditions. Nuuk serves as the base for HX's expedition cruises in Greenland, and we are proud to provide the transport of both passengers and crew to and from the ship ‘Fridtjof Nansen’ ✈️ 🛳️ On 12 June, we welcomed HX's first group of passengers on board Tuukkaq, transporting around 500 guests in total between Nuuk and Copenhagen. This is the largest number of guests we have flown for one partner in one day - and we are happy to be a part of the journey through the unique Greenland 🤝 📸 After landing in Nuuk, Alex McNeil and Daniel Kerzner from HX held a sign marking the flight and the collaboration between HX and Air Greenland. Here he is with Captain Allan, cabin crew member Riikka and first officer Robert, in front of Tuukkaq 🤗 Thank you for flying with Air Greenland 💓 #WeFlyForGreenland #AirGreenland #Tuukkaq #HXExpeditions #Cruise #Nuuk #Keflavik #FridtjofNansen #Greenland Read more about Air Greenland and HX Expeditions agreement here: https://lnkd.in/egwZ8jmi
