Bart H. shared thisAlways great to see something we’ve built in Global Payouts being used by user to help expand their business! Finishers is helping athletes resell race bibs across 24+ countries. With Stripe Global Payouts, Finishers can send one-time payouts directly to sellers’ local bank accounts in more than 160 countries, without building that payout infrastructure itself. The marketplace has already processed 9,000 race-bib resales worth €500,000 in its first six months. A good example of taking something like a cross-border payout problem and making it much simpler for both the marketplace and its sellers. Bart H. shared thisStripe users often tell me how difficult it is to navigate FX costs, especially when managing currencies across payment processors, FX providers, and banks. That’s why it’s been so rewarding to share the new currency capabilities my team has been working on. You can now settle payments in more markets and currencies. This means you can keep the currencies your customers pay in and avoid unnecessary currency conversions and the costs that come with them. You can also convert across 15 currencies, including stablecoins, from the Dashboard, API, or Stripe mobile app. We show you exactly what you’ll pay before you convert with 24/7 availability, funds that settle instantly, and no weekend surcharges. I’m looking forward to talking to more of you about how Stripe can support your FX strategy. Learn more in the blog post: https://lnkd.in/dBXvQWVA

Bart H. shared thisI’m hiring a Product Manager for our Global Payouts team at Stripe! We launched Global Payouts in 2025 to help businesses move money quickly and securely to recipients around the world. We’re now seeing strong momentum across fintechs, AI companies, marketplaces, and large enterprises. The next phase is focused on two big areas: expanding our cross-border capabilities and building the controls, reporting, billing, and security features that sophisticated enterprise customers need. This PM will own a broad and technically complex roadmap, working closely with engineering, sales, partnerships, and customers. A big part of the role is taking complex or bespoke customer needs and turning them into scalable products that work for many businesses. Bart H. shared thisOne of the most consistent requests we've heard from businesses in Hong Kong and Singapore over the years: "Let us keep our international revenue in the currencies we earn it in." Today, Stripe users in Hong Kong and Singapore can accept, settle and pay out funds in EUR, GBP and JPY (Singapore only) directly, without converting to their local currency first. 🇭🇰 🇸🇬 You can add new settlement currencies directly from the Balances page in your Stripe Dashboard, and platforms can enable them across their connected accounts. More currencies and more markets to come in the next few months. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/d9nwaViX

It shows frontier performance in complex workflows, cyber defense and software engineering. Teams are using it extensively at Google, from coding to quantum computing, great feedback. Importantly Argon has frontier safeguards and we are rolling it out responsibly - it’s with the US gov’t and going to a set of trusted cyber defenders through our Fairwind Program today. We’re going to make it available as soon as we can and as safely as we can. So hold tight, lots more coming, and you’re going to see us iterating rapidly. https://lnkd.in/gTiQb7DA

More than 18,000 platforms on Stripe power millions of small businesses and expanding their access to capital is central to our mission to grow the GDP of the internet. Parafin supports some of the largest platforms in the world, including DoorDash, Gusto, Jobber, and Mindbody, by providing credit offerings for their small business customers. Since 2020, Parafin has helped more than 60,000 businesses gain access to capital and invest in growth. Alongside its core capital offering, Parafin's complementary credit products give businesses more flexibility in how they manage cash flow. Only 41% of small business loan applications were approved in the US in 2025, a nine percentage point decrease from a decade earlier. Yet, we know firsthand how much access to capital matters: businesses that accepted Stripe Capital offers grew 27 percentage points faster than those that did not. Parafin will accelerate our efforts to expand revenue opportunities for platforms and help small businesses grow. Bart H. liked thisBart H. liked thisThank you Shopify, hello Stripe 💳 Earlier this year I wrapped up 5 years at Shopify, capped off with a month-long sabbatical. Thank you to my colleagues, coaches, and partners for making my living room such a great place to login everyday. I joined as the founding AE for Shopify Capital. At the start, I talked to small businesses and helped them access cash advances directly within their Shopify account, no banks, no long application process. It was inspiring to see what removing barriers to capital could do: teams buying inventory ahead of their busy season, a family funding a second smoker for their home BBQ business, a flood-damaged store covering renovation costs so they could reopen fast. I'm excited to share that this week I'm returning to the capital space as a Product Sales Account Executive at Stripe (Capital for Platforms), helping enable capital programs at scale across the Stripe platform. Thanks to everyone I met through the interview process, and to my support squad who helped me get here. Let's do this! Zippay challenges Revolut in Ireland’s instant payments market. AIB, Bank of Ireland, and PTSB are set to launch Zippay, a digital service enabling instant send, request, and split payments directly from bank apps, aiming to rival Revolut’s dominance in P2P transfers. Zippay is an interoperable instant payments service built into participating banks’ apps, allowing users to send money to contacts in a few taps without needing IBANs or moving funds to a separate fintech wallet. Meanwhile, Revolut has around three million users in Ireland, with about half a million teenagers, making it a key financial service provider for the next generation. The launch could test whether traditional banks can close the convenience gap and defend their core relationships in current accounts and deposits. ElevenLabs + Revolut. We're deploying ElevenLabs Agents across Revolut's customer support - a company that has reimagined what financial services can be and scaled to 70M+ customers globally with relentless focus on product and execution. Both our companies obsess over metrics - and the numbers look great: - 8x faster resolution - 99.7% success rate - 30+ languages - 24/7 support Revolut tested every provider and chose ElevenLabs for voice quality, latency, security, and partnership. Operating across nearly 40 markets, they needed complexity and speed without sacrificing quality. Their team is world-class and moves fast - so it was even more for our Forward Deployed Engineers to be embedded with them for months, building and iterating together to get this right.

🚨 Are digital fintech / (neo)banks really killing legacy banks? Reality check - not so fast. At least not yet… One of the biggest digital banks in the world just admitted: 👉 “We’re not happy.” See here https://lnkd.in/eT3q6Hik 🌍 Revolut: global scale, but the “main bank” hurdle is real Deep dive into one of Revolut’s most mature markets: Ireland On paper, Revolut looks unstoppable on this market: • 3M+ customers • 429,000+ under-18 users • 27,500+ business customers In a country of just over 5 million people, that penetration is massive. Theoretically, Revolut is already one of Ireland’s biggest “banks.” And yet… ⚠️ The uncomfortable reality Downloads and sign-ups do not automatically mean becoming the main bank. Revolut’s Ireland lead recently acknowledged that the proportion of Irish customers using Revolut as their primary account is “relatively low” - later specified as less than 5%. Personal disclaimer: I have a Revolut account since 2017. Great platform, but not my main, neither secondary account. Again, the question is surging today: what is really the “main account”? (I’ll share my thoughts on this in a future post.) Big in adoption. Big in engagement. Still marginal where it matters most: the core banking relationship. 📈 Chime: fintech momentum in the U.S. According to J.D. Power: 👉 13% of all new checking accounts opened in Q3 2025 were with Chime - more than any major bank. Additional growth signals: • 9.1M active members (+21% YoY) • Fastest-growing segment now earns $75,000+ annually That’s real penetration at national scale. 🧠 What this means for incumbents Ireland (Revolut) shows: 👉 Fintech can dominate adoption without fully owning the core relationship - yet. The U.S. (Chime) shows: 👉 Fintech can scale incredibly fast once product fit and distribution click. Yes - there is still time for incumbents. But that time is not unlimited. ⏳ The clock is ticking. Chime and Revolut next strategic push is clear: turning secondary wallets into the primary bank account. 🚨 Here is the uncomfortable question for incumbents: ❓ How do you compete with fintech-grade speed, UX, and product innovation ❓ When your core banking platform is 40+ years old ❓ And every meaningful change takes quarters or years? You don’t rip and replace a legacy core. And you don’t win by standing still. You win by: • Launching modern products alongside the legacy core • Using modular, API-first banking platforms • Letting fintech-grade experiences run in parallel, not in conflict Agora Financial Technologies #Fintech #DigitalBanking #Neobanks #CommunityBanks #CreditUnions #BankingTransformation #Innovation #CustomerExperience

Zippay 🆚 Revolut: The battle for Ireland’s 🇮🇪 instant payments. In the next few weeks, AIB, Bank of Ireland and PTSB will launch Zippay: Zippay is a new digital payment service that will allow customers to instantly send, request, and split payments with people in their contacts who bank with participating institutions. An Post, Avant Money, and several credit unions are also in advanced discussions to join the platform. First announced in September, Zippay will be integrated directly into the mobile apps of the three banks, making person-to-person payments easy to access through a simple login and just a few taps — similar to the experience Revolut already offers. Revolut, however, already has strong momentum. With around three million users in Ireland, it now rivals AIB, the country’s largest bank, reaching roughly three-quarters of the adult population 🤯 Notably, about half a million of those users are teenagers, positioning Revolut as the preferred financial platform for the next generation. Read more about it in this article: https://lnkd.in/d_2bJUmR Now over to you: Do you think Zippay can realistically compete with Revolut and win back market share over time?

Dublin merchant risk software startup ZeroRisk raises $4 million led by Elkstone to expand in the U.S. and grow headcount ZeroRisk.io, a Dublin-based startup that develops merchant risk and compliance management software for financial institutions, has raised $4 million in a funding round led by Elkstone. Founded in 2023, the company sells a cloud-native platform designed to help banks and other payments players manage merchant risk, PCI compliance, and broader cybersecurity requirements through real-time analytics, dynamic risk scoring, and automated compliance workflows. The new capital will be used to expand ZeroRisk’s presence in the U.S., where it says it already serves Tier 1 acquiring banks, while also supporting wider global growth. The company said it plans to hire 40 employees across data science, user experience, product, engineering, and sales and marketing. The raise comes as financial institutions face growing pressure to manage merchant portfolios against a backdrop of rising cyber threats and increasing regulatory complexity.

Third-party providers rarely connect to a bank directly, they connect through an intermediary, and that intermediary runs the assessment against criteria the TPP never sees. Institutions call this the nth-party visibility gap. TPPs face the mirror version: no line of sight into how the party evaluating them is doing it. KYB checks run once at onboarding. Transaction monitoring was never built for third-party open finance risk. Both report a number to the institution. Neither gives the TPP anything to act on. A score only helps the party being scored if they can actually see what's driving it - which is how we build a safer ecosystem.

Edward Ireland, Product Director at Bottomline, explains how instant payments remove one of the traditional controls banks relied on: time. With no room to act in flight, every check has to happen before the payment is made. As banks add the controls, reporting and scheme connections this requires, Ireland argues they must avoid building new silos by leveraging common standards such as ISO 20022... #banking #finance #iso20022 #realtimepayments #money

Some really interesting facts underlining the continuing evolution of Irish payment trends in the latest Banking & Payments Federation Ireland Payments Monitor covering 2025. Over 1.6 billion contactless point of sale (POS) payments, valued at over €30 billion - up 6.8% and 12.6% respectively. Of the 298 contactless payments made per person in Ireland on Irish cards in 2025, 159 were made through mobile wallets. Cash withdrawal activity, including ATMs and cashback in shops, has declined. The number of cash withdrawals using cards fell by 7.1% year on year to 82.2 million in 2025, while the value of those withdrawals fell by 4.2% to €12.2 billion. https://lnkd.in/ePXmuhzJ
