Not every lost skill matters. Some are obsolete, and that’s fine. But some are foundational: sustained attention, working memory, spatial reasoning, verbal fluency, emotional attunement, tolerance for uncertainty. Those underpin learning, relationships, creativity, and citizenship. Remember, machines may not destroy us as is being predicted. But they will make us less ourselves. So for any skill you want to keep, never let the tool go first. #technology #ai #skills

If you bought POS or kiosk hardware anywhere between 2016 and 2021 you are most likely running it right now. After that date Microsoft stops patching it. For devices that take credit cards that is a compliance problem not just a software one. I put together a short video at Esper breaking down what your actual options are. One of them surprised most people I talked to. ↓

Raghuveer C. liked thisRaghuveer C. liked thisAI has made it easier than ever to look like an architect. Give an AI tool a prompt and within seconds you can have: → A multi-agent architecture → RAG pipelines → Event-driven services → Kubernetes → Vector databases → Guardrails → Observability → A beautiful architecture diagram It can look enterprise-ready. But there’s a problem. Architecture isn't the diagram. The real test starts after the diagram. What happens when the agent makes the wrong decision? What happens when retrieval returns poor evidence? What happens when an external API is unavailable? What happens when traffic suddenly grows 20x? Who owns state? Where are the boundaries between agents? What gets automated and what requires human approval? How do you control latency and token costs? How do you observe failures across a workflow that spans models, tools, APIs, queues and databases? And when something breaks at 2 AM… Can you actually reason through the system? This is where I think the role of the AI Architect is evolving. We're no longer designing only applications and services. We're designing socio-technical systems where software, AI models, data, infrastructure, security, governance and humans all interact. The architect's job isn't to put more boxes on the diagram. It's to establish the right boundaries, make the hard trade-offs, reduce unnecessary complexity, and create a system that can actually operate at scale. And yes, I still believe architects need to stay close to engineering. You don't have to write every service. But you should understand enough of the implementation to challenge the design, investigate failures, and know when an elegant architecture is actually a terrible system. In the AI era, architecture is becoming easier to generate but harder to own. That's why I believe the best architects will be the ones who can move comfortably between: Business → Architecture → Engineering → Production Not just draw the boxes. Own the decisions behind them. What do you think the AI era will change most about the role of the AI Architect? #AIArchitecture #EnterpriseArchitecture #AIEngineering #SoftwareArchitecture #SystemDesign

Raghuveer C. liked thisRaghuveer C. liked thisBangalore's newest nightlife trend is people paying to attend a college-style lecture inside a bar. Harsh Snehanshu, Shruti Sah and Meghna Choudhary started a bar called Pint of View in 2025. The whole point is to get real academics into neighbourhood bars and let them talk about whatever they actually study - bat ecology, neuroscience, textile history, literature. In Bengaluru alone, they now run about 12 of these a month. Around 100 people show up each time, paying roughly 1,000 rupees a ticket. As per YourStory, that comes to about ₹1.2 to ₹1.5 crore/year. The audience is largely adults who want to keep learning outside formal education, without the pressure of degrees, exams, or career outcomes. People are paying for a combination of learning + entertainment + community. They’re increasingly spending their disposable time: not just consuming entertainment, but participating in experiences that leave them with something to talk about afterwards. Maybe we didn't get bored of learning. We got bored of learning that came with homework attached. Would you pay ₹1,000 for a night like this?

Raghuveer C. liked thisRaghuveer C. liked thisIn Esper, scanner configuration for Zebra Android devices runs through Blueprints. A blueprint is the declarative definition of what a device should look like: apps, policies, network config, and now scanner settings. When you add scanner configuration to a blueprint, it deploys and enforces alongside everything else. Three configuration methods are supported for Zebra scanner config inside Blueprints today: > DataWedge Profile Deployment: Export the .db file that defines your DataWedge profile from your reference device or StageNow, attach it to a blueprint, and deploy. Every device that receives that blueprint gets the same scanner behavior: symbology selection, intent configuration, data formatting rules. No StageNow barcode staging per site or manual file copying per device. > MX configuration via XML: Zebra's MX framework exposes hardware-level controls: symbology enable/disable, trigger mode, connectivity settings, kiosk parameters, power management. Export the MX XML and upload it into the blueprint configuration, and those settings deploy as part of the blueprint lifecycle (MX 11–13 is the supported baseline). > OEMConfig Managed Configurations: Add Zebra's OEMConfig app and set device policies through Blueprints — select settings directly or paste/upload a JSON config, and the blueprint delivers it to every enrolled device. Covers the settings Zebra exposes through OEMConfig, with schema-driven fields instead of hand-built files. No JSON authoring from scratch. Plus, it’s not a separate deployment path: it publishes and converges with the rest of the blueprint settings. Both methods run through the same RBAC and policy controls that govern every other blueprint setting. The same roles that control who can modify app policy or network config also control who can modify scanner settings. > Full breakdown in 💬 #DeviceInfrastructure #FleetManagement #RuggedDevices

Here are the 5 bodyweight exercises I keep coming back to — and how to actually do them: 1. Push Ups Muscles targeted: ▫️ Chest ▫️ Shoulders ▫️ Triceps Do them right: ▫️ Shoulder-width hand position ▫️ 3-4 second eccentric — no momentum ▫️ Lower until sternum touches the floor ▫️ Explode back to the top Do these too fast and you get nothing. Slow down. 2. Squats Muscles targeted: ▫️ Quads ▫️ Glutes Do them right: ▫️ Feet flat — whole foot in contact with the floor ▫️ Drop hips straight down ▫️ Drive toward femur parallel with the floor ▫️ Control the descent — don't drop Depth beats load every time at this stage. 3. Lunges Muscles targeted: ▫️ Quads ▫️ Glutes ▫️ Hamstrings Do them right: ▫️ Chest up, eyes forward ▫️ Slow eccentric — own the movement ▫️ Back knee stops just before the floor ▫️ Drive through the front heel to return Knee issues? Move the front foot further forward. 4. Reacher Row Muscles targeted: ▫️ Rear delts ▫️ Upper back ▫️ Core Do them right: ▫️ Chest elevated, back neutral ▫️ Elbows back — squeeze hard at the top ▫️ Full range of motion ▫️ Core braced Most overlooked bodyweight movement for posture. Desk workers — non-negotiable. 5. Bird Dog The exercise most skip. The one they need most. Muscles targeted: ▫️ Core ▫️ Lower back ▫️ Glutes Do them right: ▫️ Back flat, hips level — don't rotate ▫️ Extend opposite arm and leg fully ▫️ Slow and controlled — stability is the point ▫️ Hold before returning 5 exercises. Every major muscle group. Zero equipment. 1 → Push Ups 2 → Squats 3 → Lunges 4 → Reacher Rows 5 → Bird Dogs Progress them over time — more reps, slower eccentrics, shorter rest. Add a resistance band or dumbbells and your options double overnight. I used variations of these through my professional athletic career. Not because I had to. Because simple movements executed with precision and consistency build real results. The gym is a tool. Not a requirement. Add nutirtion + recovery and you have a system that works. PS. At Yubi I led the ground-up rearchitecture of the entire lending stack into BankingOS - a unified platform now processing 200,000 loan applications a day for 60+ banks and 150 fintechs across India, MENA, Southeast Asia, and the USA. We migrated from a fragmented Ruby on Rails codebase to a modern API-first microservices stack on Java, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Temporal to be cloud-agnostic and on-prem ready, spanning Co-lending, Digital Lending, Supply Chain Finance, Securitization, LOS, LMS and 15+ asset classes. I'm in the architecture reviews, the customer steering committees and the go-live warrooms in the same week. <br><br>My background is unusually wide for a fintech CTO: <br>- Life and General Insurance (Exide Life / HDFC Life, Paytm Insurance Broking)<br>- Wealth and Equity Trading (Paytm Money - 7M MAU) <br>- Enterprise Cloud and Infrastructure (IBM Research - 7 years, 2 US patents, ACM/IEEE publications) <br>- Startup founding (Thinix, USA. Co-founded, scaled to cash flow positive) <br><br>At Paytm, I scaled up the wealth management stack from 1-10 and built the General Insurance stack from zero. I also scaled up the Insurance Broking business and enabled new product lines and manufacturers on the marketplace.<br><br>At Exide Life as CTO, I transformed an outsourcing-dependent tech org into a 220-engineer in-house team during a difficult financial period, a transformation that contributed to doubling AUM from ₹7,000 Cr to ₹15,000 Cr within 18 months. <br><br>I operate across the full CTO stack, which means that I go deep enough to lead architecture and code reviews, broad enough to own P&L, board reporting, investor relations, and CXO advisory across international markets. <br><br>Right now I'm most energised by agentic AI in banking. We've rebuilt our development process around AI - what is referred to as AIDLC (AI-driven development lifecycle) cutting engineering costs by 50% and improving velocity by 25%. The next frontier is customer-facing agentic capabilities: AI that actively drives lending outcomes, not just assists them. <br><br>Currently, I am focused on leveraging the wide array of products built at Yubi to imagine new business opportunities. I'm always open to conversations about what technology looks like in the next phase of fintech.

The VC and internet sold a low-barrier dream: write code, deploy to the cloud, and scale with zero marginal cost. As I keep interacting with small businesses and also with tech entrepreneurs, I can say success rate is much much higher in non-IT sectors in India. Tech is more expensive than a low cost labor. Willingness to pay for an IT product is almost zero. India has overallocated entrepreneurial talent in Tech. And that crushed the dreams of many. There is a success story here and a story there. But overall success for tech product n India is dismal low. Time for entreprenurial #India to pivot.

Something shifted when we crossed 50,000 users. Not just the number, but what it represents. These are people who showed up, put in the work, and walked into real interviews at Google, Meta, Amazon, Flipkart, and dozens of other companies with something most candidates lack: actual preparation that goes beyond memorizing answers. Here is what that preparation looked like. Over 8,000 curated questions mapped across 12 role tracks, designed around how interviewers think and evaluate. A 24/7 AI mock interview engine that gives feedback specific enough to change your next response, not just tell you that you did okay. And Prepterview Live, a real-time copilot that works with you during the interview itself, not after it is already over. What genuinely surprised us is what the community built on top of that. Candidates started publishing their own prep articles, sharing what worked, what did not, and what they wish they had known before their final rounds. That kind of peer knowledge is hard to manufacture. It just grew. If you have a round coming up or want to stop waiting until the last minute to get ready, this is the place to do it. Join 50,000 others who decided to prepare properly: https://lnkd.in/d855f2ND

Here’s how the SkillForge Ecosystem works and how the money flows through it. STEP 1 — RECEIVE SFT Customers receive SFT directly into their own wallet. No required product purchase or subscription is needed to participate. | STEP 2 — SFT → SFI Customers can choose to swap their SFT for SFI through the SkillForge liquidity pool. | STEP 3 — SWAPS GENERATE LP REVENUE When swaps take place, the liquidity pool generates trading fees. Example using a hypothetical 0.30% swap fee: $1,000 swap volume → $3 LP fees $10,000 → $30 LP fees $100,000 → $300 LP fees | STEP 4 — 60% GOES BACK INTO LIQUIDITY 60% of the LP revenue is reinvested into liquidity. Example with $300 in LP revenue: $300 LP revenue → $180 back into liquidity (60%) This continuously helps build the liquidity supporting the ecosystem. | STEP 5 — SFI STAKING Customers can stake their SFI. Under the SkillForge model, 0.03% of qualifying LP revenue is allocated to the SFI staking reward pool, with rewards distributed according to the staking rules and each participant’s share of the staking pool. | THE MONEY FLOW SFT ↓ SFT → SFI ↓ Swaps generate LP fees ↓ 60% → Liquidity ↓ 0.03% → SFI staking rewards ↓ Remaining revenue → SkillForge's published allocation The goal is to create a cycle where: Real swaps → LP revenue → liquidity growth → staking → ecosystem growth SkillForge is built around real activity, transparent allocations, liquidity growth, and defined staking economics. No guaranteed token price. No guaranteed investment return. #SkillForge #SFT #SFI #Web3 #Blockchain #Staking #Liquidity #Crypto

Amit Shah's wife became CEO right after their second child was born. They were limping through with a setup that wasn't sustainable. While drowning at home, they made a decision to completely change their approach to childcare. On today's Startup Dad I talked with Amit Shah, the COO of Virta Health about what it's like for two C-level executives raising two kids under 5. They prioritize a few principles above all else: -> The one calendar rule - if it's not on the calendar, it doesn't exist. -> Sunday night planning sessions to look ahead the next 2-3 weeks -> A "move the ball forward" philosophy; whoever is available does the next thing that needs doing -> Invest in support systems and structure (nanny, community, family) -> Hard boundaries around travel - only one parent can be gone at a time; someone is home every night So what'd they give up? Their social life took a hit. Networking dinners are out. Happy hours rarely happen. But Amit was clear that modeling the right behavior is just as important as saying it: "I look back on my life and turns out I did what my dad said, but I'm more similar to what he did. Kids pick up what you do in equal parts with what you say." So he and his wife focus on demonstrating the values they want for their kids - kindness, curiosity, and persistence - rather than just talking about them. Listen and watch our full conversation on Startup Dad; you'll find it on Youtube, and everywhere you get your podcasts. Links below.

The first mover advantage in a regulated top down ecosystem (you know which all I’m talking about - money, data, identity, travel and food, bills, health records) is often achieved by the person/company who is/was very close to the think tank (often the one who co-wrote the specification) which made them top down. It’s impossible to beat this with innovation and effort, as they simply are a result of favoritism. It often takes decades to shake them down of their pedestal.

Agilitas x Virat Kohli partnership is one of the masterstroke deals I have seen in recent times. Virat invests 40 CR in Agilitas for a 1.94% stake, putting Agilitas’s valuation around 2000 CR. 📈 In turn, Agilitas acquires one8world, making Virat a co-founder and shareholder. They now get two very important growth levers: ⬇️ 1. A powerful manufacturing (via Mochiko Shoes - a 600 CR+ footwear brand that Agilitas acquired in 2008 ), 2. India’s biggest athlete — exclusively aligned. Easily becomes a 4000 CR revenue brand in the next 5 years. Footwear + retail scale requires capital — but this partnership compresses customer acquisition, product cycles, and brand-building like few others. Even Virat said in his podcast with Abhishek Ganguly, the co-founder of Agilitas that, “I didn’t want a brand deal… I wanted to build something that outlives me.” And Abhishek said something even beautiful - “An ambition to build from India but be globally relevant.” This isn’t marketing. This is legacy building with shared skin in the game. And that is how startups work - shared ambition with one goal (to make the company big) and food (read stake) in the table for everyone! A company that can be built in the long term with culture, capital, and conviction aligned. This might be the first time in India, where an athlete joins hands with a sport company to re-imagine and build the sport ecosystem of India - truly revolutionalising the game with a clear vision. 🙌
