TCS to announce Q2 results on October 9, consider second interim dividend for FY26
Indian IT bellwether Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will announce its July-September quarter earnings on October 9 and consider a second interim dividend to the equity shareholders of the company. It has set October 15 as the record date to determine the eligibility of investors to receive the dividend.
The announcement was made by TCS after market hours and TCS shares today ended at Rs 3,075.50 on the NSE, declining by Rs 93.70 or 3% over the Friday closing price.

India's pension regulator plans to widen investment options for better returns, chairperson says
India's pension regulator is looking to widen investment options for private pension funds to drive better returns for subscribers, after it permitted fund houses to launch customised pension schemes earlier this month.
The regulator is considering allowing pension funds to invest in gold and silver exchange-traded funds, venture capital funds, private credit, and alternative investment funds (AIFs), S. Ramann, chairperson of the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority, said in an interview on Friday.
"It is imperative that public policy pushes towards making sure people get a good return from market instruments such that their own individual saving corpus becomes reasonably adequate," Ramann said.
The regulator is considering allowing pension funds to invest in gold and silver exchange-traded funds, venture capital funds, private credit, and alternative investment funds (AIFs), S. Ramann, chairperson of the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority, said in an interview on Friday.

Diwali Muhurat Trading 2025: NSE announces date, timing; not in the usual evening slot
Leading exchange NSE on Monday announced that the special Muhurat Trading session on October 21, to mark the occasion of Diwali, will be held for one hour in the afternoon. According to the NSE circular, the Muhurat Trading window will open at 1:45 pm and close at 2:45 pm.
While the market will remain shut for normal trading, the special window will be operational. Trade modifications will be permitted until 2:55 pm. All trades executed during the session will result in settlement obligations, similar to regular trading hours. Read more

Silver futures hit record highs on MCX, March and December contracts rally
- Silver witnessed gains to hit record peaks. The white metal futures for March next year delivery rallied Rs 2,446 or 1.86 per cent to hit an all-time high of Rs 1,33,582 per kilogram.
- Similarly, the most traded silver futures for December delivery surged by Rs 2,473, or 1.9 per cent, to hit a fresh peak of Rs 1,32,311 per kg on the MCX.
Gold breaches Rs 1.11 lakh/10 g in futures trade as traders await key US inflation data
- Gold prices breached the Rs 1.11 lakh per 10 grams by jumping Rs 799 in the domestic futures market on Monday tracking strong global cues as investors looked ahead to key US inflation data and comments from several Federal Reserve officials this week for further policy guidance.
- On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures for December delivery climbed Rs 799 or 0.72 per cent to hit a record high Rs 1,11,750 per 10 grams.
- However, the most traded precious metal futures for October delivery appreciated Rs 761 or 0.69 per cent to Rs 1,10,608 per 10 grams. Last week, it had surged to hit a fresh peak of Rs 1,10,666 per 10 grams.
