Accounts & Access

Our goal is to provide direct and easy access to our resources and spaces. This page explains who we serve and what services are available for different Duke and community groups.

The Medical Center Library & Archives primarily serves Duke University and Duke Health faculty, staff, and students. We also support several additional groups in the Triangle area, though not all services or licensed resources are available to every group.

Duke faculty and staff may sponsor short term library access for research and academic collaborators who are not Duke faculty, staff, or students. To begin, the Duke sponsor should request library access for a collaborator.

In addition, collaborators must have a Duke NetID. The Duke sponsor is responsible for arranging this through OIT. See OIT sponsored accounts for details.

Please note that Document Delivery and Interlibrary Loan services are not available to sponsored collaborators.
