As per official documentation, CPanel supports AlmaLinux 8 and 9.
You can refer to documentation for installation guidance.
Yes, cPanel is available with AlmaLinux 9 in Amazon Lightsail. According to the documentation, there is a current generation blueprint called "cPanel & WHM for AlmaLinux" that supports AlmaLinux 9. This is a newer offering, as Lightsail recently expanded its blueprint selection to include AlmaLinux 9, which is an open source, community-owned Linux distribution that provides RHEL compatibility.
The current generation blueprint "cPanel & WHM for AlmaLinux" supports instance snapshots that can be exported to Amazon EC2, unlike the previous generation blueprint "cPanel & WHM for Linux" which cannot be exported to EC2.
When using cPanel in Lightsail, keep in mind that it includes a 15-day trial license. After this trial period, you'll need to purchase a license from cPanel to continue using cPanel & WHM.
If you're experiencing issues with the specific version of AlmaLinux being installed, you might want to check if you're selecting the most recent blueprint, as Lightsail may have both older and newer versions available.
