Browse node status as of October 2, 2025
by Seller_GEZPMc4CeQfh6

Hello Sellers,

As part of our ongoing Amazon Handmade Reclassification process, we are providing the latest list of migrated browse nodes. To make this information more accessible, we have updated the format to include a table organized by marketplace, browse nodes, product type, and reclassification status.

If you sell products exclusively in the US Marketplace, first check for your product type, and then check for your browse node. If your product types’ browse nodes have been reclassified, please review all product attributes to keep your products visible and purchasable.

You can review the current Amazon Handmade Reclassification Status. This list is inclusive of information shared on September 18, 2025

You can find resources for identifying and auditing reclassified products in our previous post ‘A progress update on Handmade’s reclassification process!

Can someone from the Amazon handmade team please enlighten us handmade sellers how our items are supposed to be discoverable now that you removed ANY AND ALL WAYS TO FIND OUR ITEMS except through search? Why in the world would your team remove categories and subcategories out of handmade? WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT IN Q4? WHY? You all have single handedly destroyed so many small businesses that COUNT on holiday sales. I cannot fathom what head engineer thought- yes- PERFECT TIMING! Lets do it at Christmas. I have worked my butt off for years- YEARS here at Amazon Handmade and I have promoted Amazon, and defended it every step of the way when people laughed and scoffed at "handmade" at Amazon. Driving your own traffic is important- I do that, Running ads is important- I do that, having multiple selling platforms is important- I do that- BUT HAVING AND BUILDING ORGANIC RANKING IS IMPORTANT - and it is LITERALLY the HARDEST part to do- You say you are not removing handmade -if that is the case THEN WHY REMOVE CATEGORIES AND SUB? All handmade items were already discoverable on the 'regular" amazon.....so I don't really understand what this migration project is all about. Can you please respond with a CLEAR path that helps us to get back to some normalcy.

Viewing it LIVE in Amazon search. My handmade listings are being moved into the WRONG categories in the marketplace. My stethoscope tag is NOT an office product! It is a stethoscope accessory under Industrial & Scientific / Professional Medical Supplies / Diagnostics & Screening / Stethoscope Accessories

Opened a case 16729114431 as I noticed 1 earlier and now in looking at my handmade listings, they are all being moved and are in office products. This would explain why we are suddenly selling our handmade items this morning. I am grateful for finally being visible but at least reclassify them correctly!

Handmade Categories
by Seller_qoLNhxlLgNIu6
Amazon replied

Why were all the categories in handmade deleted? I understand the migration, but I didn’t realise why my sales tanked until I went into the handmade section and all the categories are gone - so customers cannot go in and search through categories and subcategories. Would be nice to have this put back for the holiday season.

Handmade New Listing Experience in Q4
by Seller_gwzuNYC3ogYNo
Amazon replied

Did the New Listing Experience get canceled? Q4 has come and gone and nothing new.

I would tag @Seller_RsATYbG9XP0HP and @Seller_RTAKHeZqlPLvFbut I think they have been canceled as well.

@Seller_FJwyF3iu5qxUY who evidently drew the short straw

Brand Name is Gone
by Seller_HgXMthwXB9bQX
Amazon replied

I was approved about 2 years ago for a brand name. Today, I copied a listing to add a new product and it wouldn't let me list because of an Error 5665 saying I had to get approval for a brand name. I have been using my brand name for 2 years. I also can't access the other benefits of brand name. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks amazon
by Seller_Y262O9Ep3I1RD

Who at amazon do we have to thank for destroying the search results just in time for Christmas? Most of the results bring people to cheap overseas trinkets and garbage rather than handmade shops.

You don't get to tell me what to charge Amazon.

My prices are normally $16. My sales fell off a cliff on Amazon Handmade last year (Etsy and Makerplace are just fine, so you know it's Amazon Handmade's issue and not my business issue).

I have so much deadweight in FBA that I am trying to get sold because I have so many long term storage fees, so I dropped the prices to $4 just enough to cover fee's and get the items gone from FBA. I've sold about 30 listings this way and since I still have supplies I need to flip them back to FBM.

So I am resetting the listings now to FBM and raising the price back up to the normal $16, and Amazon now is deactivating my listings because of " Marketplace Fair Pricing Policy" What the Fudge amazon. If you didn't ruin Handmade as a viable marketplace, I never even would have had to drop my FBA prices.

This platform is SO UNFRIENDLY to sellers now. You just can't "win" here anymore. No matter what you are trying to do Amazon is here just twisting the knife in any sort of way possible.
