I've dropped $900+ on beauty products this year: My favorites are on sale for Prime Day

Prime Day beauty deals mean steep price cuts on tried-and-true products from La Roche-Posay, Neutrogena, Revlon and more, starting at just $9.

Even as a middle-aged beauty editor who tests products for a living, I still get excited to shop during Amazon Prime Day, which starts next week. It’s when I restock my seasonal essentials for hair and skin care, often at the lowest prices I'll see all year. My Prime Day beauty deals strategy is simple: Stock up on the reliably good gadgets, lotions and potions that keep my 52-year-old face looking as youthful as possible and my hair full and bouncy.

There are already thousands of deeply discounted name-brand (and not-so-name-brand) beauty items already on sale. I've narrowed the massive list down by only adding steeply discounted, well-reviewed devices and formulations that I trust and have personally tested to my cart. All are made with high-quality ingredients I recognize and come with a proven track record of results. The Prime Day beauty deals below represent some of my all-time favorite products — the ones I recommend to anyone who asks.

The best Prime Day beauty deals

Yes, that crisp fall air feels nice, but it can also cause our skin to feel even more parched than usual. This cream — which was purchased more than 100,000 times in the past month — has a huge fanbase, thanks to its gentle formula that's suitable for sensitive skin. Lightweight and quick-absorbent, it contains niacinamide, ceramide-3 and thermal water to soothe while delivering essential moisture. Grab a tube while it's within $2 of its best price of 2025.

These rarely drop in price except during a major sales event like Prime Day, so this impressive 35% discount means now's the time to buy. Brighter smile, here you come.

"They actually work, y'all!" exclaimed a shopper who's now rocking pearly whites. "I can hardly believe my own eyes! I'm sold! I just saved $250 for professional teeth bleaching."

Keep those pearly whites, well, pearly and white with this top-rated bacteria blaster. According to the brand, it can remove up to 100% more plaque in a week than manual brushing, and you'll only have to charge it once every two weeks or so. But what excites me most? It's currently down to its best price since 2022.

Last year I received a sample of the Jennifer Aniston-loved Tatcha Eye Brightening Stick and quickly became addicted to its hydrating, undereye transforming powers (not to mention the way it made concealers glide on without settling into fine lines). When I ran out, I was bereft — that product is $49 and I am cheap! I've been on the hunt for a replacement since.

And here it is. Grace & Stella's version replicates all the wrinkle-smoothing, dark-circle brightening wonders of Tatcha's and — with the addition of de-puffing caffeine — even improves upon the original. All this while ringing in at one fifth of the price.

My pick for best high SPF sunscreen, Neutrogena's sheer, high-coverage chemical SPF is dermatologist-recommended, affordable, reliable and beloved by not only normies like us, but celebs like Nicole Kidman. She told Allure in 2019: "I'm shooting outdoors a lot, so the most important thing is the sunscreen — I use Neutrogena. ... I reapply every 90 minutes, every single day."

This nongreasy formula is ideal for anyone who detests the oily, sticky feel of many sunscreens. It dries quickly, making it a good choice for layering under makeup.

If you're new to the retinol game or have dry skin, CeraVe's formula is an excellent place to start — in fact, it's our best-tested retinol serum for beginners and those with dry skin. It contains only a .3% concentration, which means it will be gentler and less drying than higher-potency products.

It's packed with skin-calming agents like niacinamide and moisturizing hyaluronic acid. At 25% off, it's inexpensive enough to try without the guilt of a major skin care investment.

After testing dozens of mascaras earlier this year, I named Maybelline's Lash Sensational the best mascara of 2025, and it's nearly 60% off for Prime Day. The no-smudge, zero-flake formula lengthens and thickens lashes without being a hassle to apply (I did not have to remove globs from the applicator brush once in the last month — a first).

In addition to having this beauty editor's vote, more than 80,000 five-star reviewers rave about it on Amazon, all stating something along the lines of, "10/10 would recommend, I've ordered this six times now ... it's the best mascara I've ever used." Truly, it's that good.

Martha Stewart loves facials. In fact, according to her website, she's been getting the same one at the same place — the Mario Badescu Spa in New York City — for 40 years. So it should come as little surprise that almost all of her favorite skin care products are from the high-quality Mario Badescu line.

Martha's top picks include this mega-popular collagen mask, which is specially formulated to work for both mature and sensitive skin. The award-winning product is made from collagen and kaolin clay and is meant to tighten, firm and bring moisture to parched faces, necks and decolleté.

With more than 15,000 five-star reviews on Amazon (where more than 10,000 customers picked it up just this month), Wavytalk's Blown Away hair dryer is a bit of a wonder for those with wavy or curly hair. It dries and de-frizzes incredibly fast and comes with several attachments to either heighten curls or blow them out smooth and straight.

The ionic technology not only tames frizz but boosts shine — it's small enough to travel with too.

Sure, there are fancier (and pricier) devices out there but, for my money, few hair gadgets beat this classic Revlon air-dryer brush. What I like most about it is the ease of use — you start with damp hair (about 70% dry is the key to success here), brush it through from roots to ends and in about 5 minutes, you have a silky-sleek blowout.

There are three settings — high, low and "cool shot" — to decrease heat damage and it works for all hair types and lengths. Scoop it up now while it's 36% off.

This is one of those "if you know, you know" situations. Dermatologists swear by La Roche-Posay because the products are allergy-tested, non-pore-clogging, and backed by real clinical research — plus, they tend to play very nicely with sensitive skin.

This daily sunblock was recommended to Yahoo Commerce Editor Janelle Randazza by her dermatologist over a decade ago, and she says she's never found anything better. "It's a sneaky sort of BB cream: It moisturizes my acne-prone, yet aging skin while the tinted formula blurs out any imperfections and smooths out my pores. And it's a stellar protectant, with antioxidants to protect against free radicals and broad-spectrum mineral SPF."

If you're feeling self-conscious about stubble (or just hate to wax and shave) this at-home laser-hair-removal device just might be for you and now's the time to pick it up: For Prime Day, it's marked down a whopping 40%: from $100 to a mere $60.

"This gadget brought my confidence back," shared one five-star reviewer. "I've been using this product for five weeks now, and I cannot believe the amazing results. After having my five children, I experienced hair growth on my chin, and when I pluck, it leaves dark spots and marks... I started using this product and within a month, the hair growth stopped. I wish I'd found this product years ago. It is easy to use and it is very convenient."

Now's the time to start stocking up on products that'll soothe dry fall and winter skin and I honestly can't think of a better staple than this velvety cream from trusted brand Aveeno.

Formulated with shea butter and oats, it's unscented, safe for even the most sensitive skin and this 18-ounce size can certainly last you through season's end. All this for just 10 bucks? Sign me up!

When 87-year-old beauty Jane Fonda recommends a product, I pay attention: The actress recently revealed she uses this serum every night on a clean face: "It has a lot of antioxidants and good things to hydrate the skin."

The rich formula is paraben- and mineral oil-free, dermatologist-tested and suitable for all skin types. Plus, right now, it's locked in at the lowest price I've ever seen.

When Martha Stewart leaked her beauty product faves on her website in 2022, this glow-enhancing priming gem was at the top of the list. Stewart says she applies the formula to her face after SPF to add dewiness and create "a smooth canvas for makeup." Infused with glycerin and shea butter, the lotion helps hydrate and moisturize skin while enhancing its natural glow.

Yahoo's editors have tried out Lumi Glotion too — check out what it looks like on women with different skin tones.

This is what you need if you're like, "I think tightening creams are BS but I also want to believe they are true because I currently dislike my neck." Gold Bond's firming cream is no frills but gets the job done (the job being firmer-looking, less-crepey skin). The formula is lightweight and on the thin side, but the product absorbs well and is gentle enough not to irritate sensitive skin.

Note: You'll need to use it consistently for about a month to see results, and it won't, of course, magically make you appear 25, but being able to snag this ample size for 25% off makes this product worth a go.

Behold, our best eye cream of the year! If you're looking for a low-cost retinol treatment to help with dark circles and eye wrinkles, this is for you. RoC is the premier name in over-the-counter retinol, and its eye cream is highly rated, with nearly 40,000 five-star Amazon reviews. It's excellent for improving the appearance of both fine lines and dark circles, and it's dermatologist-recommended too.

I only wish the formula contained more antioxidant, nourishing ingredients. But for this price — especially when it's $10 off — this cream honestly cannot be beat.

There are myriad uses for this wildly well-reviewed, internet-famous skin care oil, but I like it best for treating the body, not the face. It's amazing on calves and thighs as an after-shave oil and as an emollient for cracked heels and dry elbows.

It's too oily (for me) for my face or as a scalp treatment, but a little goes a long way to tame flyaways. Also, if it's good enough for future queen Kate Middleton, surely it's good enough for peasants like me.

Your morning hair routine is about to get a lot easier, thanks to this multitasking tool. It dries and styles all at the same time, meaning you won't have to juggle a brush in one hand and a blow dryer in the other; use it to give yourself a sleek, smooth blowout or wavy curls. It's thicker and wider than the Revlon dryer brush and lends bigger, bombshell waves.

Plus, at just $40 (70% off), it's far more affordable than the Dyson Airwrap, a product that we love with a sky-high pricetag that we don't.

These No. 1 bestselling dual-textured facial toner pads — nearly 40% off right now — are among the top products we've found for clearing out clogged pores, evening skin tone and promoting a healthy, clean glow. Now they're available in this mild version, which is no less potent, but gentle enough for sensitive skin.

Yahoo Shopping Deputy Editor Izabella Zaydenberg is a fan. "I've bought these four times — I think it's the most I've ever repurchased any skin care product," she says. "Unfortunately, I don't think I can live without them: I ran out a few days ago and my blackheads (which these pads nearly entirely eradicated) decided to come back with a vengeance. It's no wonder they're an Amazon bestseller: Each pad gently exfoliates your skin with AHA lactic acid and BHA salicylic acid, leaving your skin truly glass-like."

After testing dozens of over-the-counter options, this is the retinoid I use every night. Differin's adapalene gel was the first prescription-strength retinoid to become available over the counter. It's dermatologist-recommended and clinically proven to tighten and brighten skin while reducing the appearance of fine lines. This jumbo size rarely goes on sale — and it's currently a cool 34% off.

"I've been a Differin user for over six years at this point, and I swear by it," wrote an in-the-know user. "Most things that work as well as Differin are prescription-only. It actually works in a similar manner that some of the prescription-strength treatments do: by increasing the rate at which your skin cells turn over."

Right now, you can save a rare 20% on this handy travel shampoo and conditioner set from the Nicole Kidman-approved haircare brand Vegamour. The duo aims to help thicken, strengthen and rebuild strands, leaving hair shiny and full — a true luxury (at an affordable price!), especially when you're on the go.
