Nine web developer tools in one Firefox add-on

Hoverify is a Firefox extension for web developers: inspect and edit CSS, test responsive layouts, pick colors, pull assets, read a site's stack, capture screenshots and audit a page for SEO and for AI search, all from panels on the page. Every one of them runs in the Firefox build, under the same license as Chrome.

How to install the Hoverify Firefox add-on

Three steps, about a minute. Add it, pin it, then sign in with your license key and all nine tools are live on the next page you open.

1

Add it from Firefox Add-ons

Open the listing and choose Add to Firefox, then confirm the permissions prompt. It lands in the extensions button at the right of the address bar.

2

Pin it to your toolbar

Click the extensions button to the right of the address bar and pin Hoverify. The popup is where every tool switches on, so it's worth keeping in reach.

3

Sign in with your license key

The popup asks for your key, the email you bought with and a name for this activation, so your machines are told apart in the Dashboard. No key yet? The popup links to the pricing page.

Firefox 109 or newer. The release that added the extensions button, which is where Hoverify gets pinned.

Shortcuts you choose. Firefox keeps them in the Add-ons Manager rather than at a typeable URL. Mozilla's guide has the path.

Same tools as Chrome. All nine tools ship here, and one license covers Firefox and Chrome together.

Both browsers

One license runs in Firefox and Chrome together

A license activates in 3 browsers at a time and they don't have to be the same browser, which matters here: Chromium is where every feature lands first.

Firefox Chrome Microsoft Edge Brave

Keep Firefox as your daily browser and put one of your other two activations in Chrome or Brave for the projects that need testing there too.

3 activations per license. Firefox and Chrome at the same time, off the same key. Move one from the Dashboard whenever you need a fourth machine.

Chromium browsers share one build. Chrome, Edge, Brave and Opera install the same build from the Chrome Web Store, with the same nine tools as Firefox.

I use Hoverify every day. It helps me inspect elements, check styles, test responsive layouts, grab colors and assets, identify tech stacks, and take screenshots without constantly opening DevTools. I also appreciate the developer's responsiveness and focus on quality. The tools feel polished, useful, and reliable. Hoverify saves me time, keeps my toolbar cleaner, and keeps getting better. Easy five stars.
