Here’s my story on the Nevada org approving robotaxi permits for Waymo, uber and tesla. Will they deploy this many? Based on comments from Tesla and others, don’t count on it.

Together, these permits would allow up to 8,000 robotaxis to be deployed over the next 12 months. spr.ly/6017B1cFq7

Self-driving taxi company Waymo is now doing over 1.4 million rides per month in California, a 10x increase over the past two years.

listened in to the Nevada Transportation Authority mtg and it has approved robotaxi permits for Tesla, Uber (Motional), and Waymo - story incoming ... importantly, Tesla did get the ok on the 5,000 request . However, Tesla doesn't expect to hit that 5,000 number in the 12 months
