My friends are reading this ridiculous future of life petition signed by a whole bunch of people. I don't know if I even want to take a look. SMH. I haven't figured out how to effectively articulate how ridiculous it is that this is real life.
These #TESCREAL institutes having Turing award winners & such signing on to their feverish AGI sci-fi dreams. And they want to stop people from using stuff "with more power" than GPT-4 but GPT-4 is fine right? Cool cool.The other stuff can be "catstrophic" but the current stuff with all the Africans being paid penuts to have PTSD, massive data theft etc is "human flourishing" and "benefits for everyone" I believe. My friend is saying "AGI" is everywhere and they're saying "digital minds"Why don't y'all upload your minds to the digital computers and go off to colonize the cosmos and achieve utopia and maybe the rest of us can be ok?
