A drop-in replacement for readelf, objcopy, and objdump, utilising the Capstone disassembly framework. Then the project grew into a collection of tools for malware and binary analysis, and privilege escalation that support x86, ARM, ARM Thumb, AARCH64, MIPS, and RISC-V architectures, including Context-Triggered Piecewise Hashes (CTPHs), also known as fuzzy hashes.

This suite of tools was inspired by a problem I encountered while comparing two subtly different executables that were compiled from the same source code. Also, having binaries that have been built with different cross-compilers, raises the question of which flavour of readelf or objdump to use? After I reached 12 and started thinking about a simple solution that could be automated and didn't require a $ 7,000-a-year software license.

The RID is an revenue inspection device for ticket inspectors that will validate Oyster, ITSO, Visa, MasterCard and America Express contactless payment cards. My duties were reliability, integrating the EMV kernel into the application, payment card transaction records, downloading the taps list via NFC, investigating and fixing an assortment of EMV related issues.

Oyster was launched in 2003, and there are now more than 10 million cards in regular use, with 38 million journeys a week made on the Underground, Dockland Light Railway, tram and bus.

The Oyster card is a contactless smartcard. The originals were MIFARE Classic 1K. Now they are MIFARE DESFire which can be easily distinguished by the D on the back of the card. They can be used as Travelcards or Pay as you go.
