Rob Gray shared thisSometimes you need to step back to realise how far you’ve come. Joining Codurance 5.5 years ago, we were a 50ish craftsperson business occupying three offices. Fast forward to today and we’re spread across 9 offices in 5 countries! With clients spanning the US, Europe, Africa, Saudi Arabia and Australia. We’ve gone from closing 2/3 deals a quarter, to closing 13 deals in Q2 and 12 now in Q3 of 2026!! It’s amazing (and refreshing) to look back and see what the hard work by everyone involved has achieved. 🙏 But as always…. We’re only getting started 🚀 Mash Badar Sandro Mancuso Steve Lydford Alan Jackson Simon Shaw Sid Sivanandam Valentina Soricaro Natalie Gray Matthew James

Rob Gray posted thisIts an early one for the Codurance team today connecting with our friends in Australia, helping modernise and automate intelligence and positioning technology for the mining and civil construction industry. 🚜 Having been at AI Pathfinder last week, hosting a roundtable discussion and speaking to soo many individuals on the impact AI is having within their businesses, its clear.. AI is here! People are excited, people are experimenting, people are pivoting, people are watching KPIs to see the true value its bringing to their businesses. But that last bit is definitely a little more tricky.

Rob Gray shared thisLooking forward to attending AI Pathfinder tomorrow for the day. Some amazing speakers and workshops lined up, including Elizabeth Gooch MBE 🔥Rob Gray shared thisIf your USP is “great customer service at a competitive price”…AI isn’t your biggest problem! Tomorrow, I’m joining Codurance at the AI Pathfinder Private Equity AI Strategy Day to explore defensibility and value creation in the age of AI. It’s a subject investors are challenging businesses on much more rigorously. “Will AI wipe this company out entirely?” It’s a fair question. But before you can assess what AI might strengthen, weaken or make irrelevant, you need a really clear understanding of what makes the business defensible today. I spend a lot of time working with founders to sharpen their propositions and define what genuinely differentiates them. Too often, their stated USPs are generic: ❓Great service. ❓Good people. ❓Competitive pricing. ❓A better user experience. All important. But rarely measured in terms of customer impact, not difficult to copy ….. and so rarely the basis for a strong moat. If a business can’t clearly explain why customers choose it, why they stay and why they would find it difficult to replace, how can its board or investors judge the impact AI will have on its value? During tomorrow’s interactive workshops, we’ll be looking at what genuinely underpins enterprise value, where businesses may be more fragile than they think and what should be prioritised in the age of AI. But the same test applies to every business - investor backed, or not! AI hasn’t just changed the tools available to businesses. It has changed the test of what makes them sustainable and valuable. Here’s a question every business should be asking: If your competitors had access to exactly the same AI models and tools, what would still make your business difficult to copy? #ScaleToValue #ValueCreation #Defensibility #AI

Rob Gray shared thisLooking forward to being at AI Pathfinder’s Private Equity AI Strategy Day next Tuesday. Some brilliant speakers and workshops lined upRob Gray shared thisJust one week to go until AI Pathfinder’s Private Equity AI Strategy Day and we can’t wait! Codurance is proud to be joining the event as a key Activation Partner, bringing together private equity leaders focused on turning AI ambition into measurable value across both the firm and portfolio. Alongside an interactive morning roundtable, we’ll be hosting a hands-on activation workshop with Elizabeth Gooch MBE, putting attendees in the seat of a newly appointed portco CTO. The challenge: identify what genuinely underpins enterprise value, expose the AI claims that could unravel during exit diligence, and prioritise the first 18 months of the hold. Practical, interactive and firmly focused on value creation. See you there Steve Budd 🚀

Rob Gray posted thisEnding the week with another signed SOW for a new client is always great 🙏 Through our OpenAI and Anthropic partnership we’ve been having tons of conversations with businesses on how we can support them to successful add measured efficiency into their businesses through the implementation of AI tooling. If you’re looking into this too…. Let’s chat.

Rob Gray shared thisLooking forward to it Steve Budd The relationship between Codurance and AI Pathfinder is an incredibly important one that brings a lot of value to the PE community 🤝Rob Gray shared thisWe welcome back Codurance who joins us as Activation Partner for the AI Pathfinder Private Equity AI Strategy Day in London on Tuesday 15 September, hosting a hands-on workshop in our value creation stream. Codurance is a global software consultancy headquartered in London, specialising in helping private equity-backed businesses grow through AI-driven technology. For over a decade they've worked alongside investors, board advisors, NEDs and portfolio businesses across the full investment lifecycle, from pre-acquisition technical and AI due diligence through to value creation and exit readiness. Their session, hosted by Steve Lydford and Rob Gray, is Building Defensibility During the Hold: Where AI Compounds Portco Value. It puts delegates in the seat of a newly appointed portco CTO: work out which parts of the business genuinely underpin enterprise value, spot the AI claims that would fall apart in exit diligence, and prioritise the first 18 months of the hold. The question it leaves in the room: would your portco's AI story survive diligence at exit? It's a perfect fit for where this community is now. Adoption is becoming table stakes; the advantage is built in the foundations, and it compounds over a hold. Not how AI can assist the work, but where it genuinely creates defensible value, and where it only looks like it does. If you'd like to join us in London on 15 September, head to: https://lnkd.in/exRWiuqs #PrivateEquity #AI #ValueCreation #PortfolioOperations

Rob Gray liked thisRob Gray liked thisInsightful and enjoyable day at ❄️ Snowflake World Tour ❄️ in London. Learned more about how Snowflake can democratise our data and empower everyone across the business to interrogate it, in plain English. Especially valuable when we have such a lean data team here as it will cut out a lot of ad-hoc queries. My quote of the day was ‘use data for decisions, not dashboards’. I’ve seen that with our recent work optimising payment collections and lead conversion. It’s very powerful to work with AI in this way. Underlying all that though is the need to give AI full context across all our data sources, combined with a semantic layer that adds meaning to data. Trust was also a key theme - all of the above should give the business confidence that data and AI are giving accurate answers upon which business decisions can be made. #snowflake #ai #data
