HyLife of La Broquerie lost one of its hog barns in a fire Tuesday night. The blaze occurred at Kola in western Manitoba and killed 1,500 pigs and 700 piglets.

HyLife Vice-President Claude Vielfaure says he's very sad about the loss. He adds the cause of the fire is not yet known.
