Coinciding with Climate Week in New York City, Nike is offering a slate of services at its SoHo store for the sustainably minded consumer.
From now through Sept. 29, the Swoosh is hosting a Nike (Re)Play pop-up within its downtown Manhattan store, which brings its trade-in, repair, footwear cleaning, vintage, recycling and donation services together in one experience.
According to Nike, its (Re)Play initiative builds on existing services like Nike Refurbished and Nike Recycling + Donation by bringing established and emerging offerings together so that consumers have more ways to care for Nike products, extend their use, or responsibly part with gear they no longer need.
Through Nike Trade-In, consumers exchange eligible Nike and Jordan Brand footwear for a Nike digital gift card, with credit based on product style and original retail price. Consumers can also get Nike apparel, footwear and gear repaired or personalized, have footwear cleaned while they shop, and explore one-of-a-kind Nike Creative Repair pieces.

The pop-up also highlights Nike Vintage, which features daily drops from a 500-piece collection of vintage Nike running apparel like windbreakers, running jackets, tops and T-shirts, fleece, shorts, track pants and more — all curated and supplied by Tried and True Co.
(Re)Play will also accept unwanted or end-of-life Nike athletic footwear, apparel and gear for inspection, donation or recycling based on condition, the company noted.
The pop-up comes just months after Nike relocated its SoHo store. Located at 611 Broadway — inside the space once home to Crate & Barrel — Nike’s SoHo residency is set just two blocks north of its prior location at 529 Broadway. (The location also hosted a temporary Kith pop-up when the Ronnie Fieg-founded label briefly closed its NoHo store for renovations.)
The space, which opened to the public in April, is a temporary one. At the time of the opening, no specific timeline was disclosed for how long the store will occupy the location, but the shop is set to play host to a special installation surrounding November’s New York City marathon.
In its most recent fourth-quarter results, Nike reported net sales of $10.97 billion, down 1 percent from $11.09 billion in the fourth quarter last year on a reported basis, and down 4 percent on a currency-neutral basis.
