University of Wisconsin–Madison
Previously Data Science and AI BS Student at Nanyang Technological University Singapore
About
Fanyi Pu's Scaling Spatial Intelligence develops methods for spatial reasoning within multimodal systems. Pu is a final-year undergraduate at Nanyang Technological University and a research intern at SenseTime and MMLab@NTU. As a core member of LMMs-Lab, they led the development of LMMs-Eval for benchmarking multimodal models and Video-MMMU for multidisciplinary video analysis. Their other research includes Otter, which utilizes in-context instruction tuning, and Demystifying video reasoning. Pu is an ICPC gold medalist and previously architected the Synvo File System. They will begin a CS PhD at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in September 2026.
