Houqiang Li
Vice Dean at University of Science and Technology of China
About
Houqiang Li’s Uformer applies a u-shaped transformer structure to image restoration tasks like denoising and deraining. He is a Professor in the Department of Electric Engineering and Information Science at the University of Science and Technology of China, where he also directs the Key Laboratory of Multimedia Computing and Communication. His research focuses on CV, video coding, and multimedia search. Li’s other work includes Voxel R-CNN for 3D object detection and Conditional DETR, which accelerates training convergence for transformer-based detection. More recently, he developed DIRE for detecting images produced by diffusion models. An IEEE Fellow, Li earned his PhD from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2000.
