Maine Democrat Senate Candidate Troy Jackson Voted to Allow Some Minors to Receive Transgender Hormones Without Parental Consent

Troy Jackson, the Maine Democrat nominated to replace Graham Platner in the state’s U.S. Senate race, voted for legislation allowing qualifying 16- and 17-year-olds diagnosed with gender dysphoria to obtain nonsurgical “gender-affirming” hormone therapy without parental consent after a parent or guardian refused to support the treatment.

FTC, Several States Sue Transgender Health Association over ‘Deceptive Claims’ About Sex Changes for Minors

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and several Republican-led states filed a lawsuit on Wednesday against the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), alleging that the organization has has “made false, misleading, or unsubstantiated statements” to promote sex-mutilating drugs and surgeries for minors for the benefit of its members.
