Matthew MacConnell is a Scotland-based automotive journalist who has covered features, news and reviews and enjoys the fast-paced environment of the motoring sphere with a strong coffee in hand. His love for vehicles was born when his dad took him to local auto shows as a kid. He got his start by applying for work experience at Autocar and has since written for a diverse range of print and digital publications such as Classic Car Weekly, Fleet World, EV Powered, Commercial Motor, The Courier, HeyCar and more.
He’s tested lots of vehicles, but his favorites are the Lamborghini Reventón Roadster and Bentley Continental GT S. A graduate of the London School of Journalism, MacConnell earned a Diploma with Distinction in 2023 and chased his dream of becoming a motoring journalist.
