Powerful nor'easter floods vehicles, disrupts travel in northeastern US
NEW JERSEY, UNITED STATES - SEPTEMBER 27: A powerful nor'easter storm brought heavy rain, strong winds and flooding to parts of the northeastern United States on Sept. 27, disrupting transportation and power supplies across the region.In Edgewater, New Jersey, a vehicle was seen submerged in floodwaters in a parking lot along the Hudson River as water levels rose during the storm.Hundreds of flights were canceled as the autumn storm intensified, while tens of thousands of people were left without electricity.New York, Boston and Philadelphia were among the major cities affected.Authorities warned residents of the risk of significant flooding, road closures and hazardous travel conditions as severe weather continued across the region.Emergency teams monitored flood-prone areas while transportation disruptions persisted in several states.
