Portable power banks are great for charging phones and tablets, but when you want to power a fridge, part of your home, or an RV, you'll want something a bit bigger. Anker's SOLIX line is a popular option, and the latest SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 is here to power everything.

Anker just announced the new SOLIX C2000 Gen 2, a compact yet powerful 2kWh unit packed with features, dual charging, and a slew of ports for all your gear. Inside, you'll find a 2048Wh (2,400W) LiFePO4 battery with a peak output of 4,000W. And if it's anything like the C1000 I reviewed last year, it'll be an excellent little gadget for camping, home backup power, or going off-grid.

The all-new Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 is available starting today, October 10th, for $1,499. However, the company is running an early-bird special where you can get this capable little unit for 50% off. Grab yours at Amazon for only $749. That's a heck of a price.

The new Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 features 2,400W output power, 4,000W surge, and dual AC input for faster charging.

Several new changes to the SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 make it stand out compared to older models. For starters, it's one of the most efficient 2kW units on the market, with a 9W idle draw. Secondly, it's expandable with additional battery packs, which is something typically reserved for larger, more expensive models. Here are a few of its noteworthy features:

  • Efficient Backup: Thanks to OptiSave, idle draw is only 9 W, making C2000 Gen 2 the first 2 kWh unit under 10 W standby. It can power a 190W fridge for up to 32 hours.
  • Fast Recharge: AC + solar dual input restores full charge in just 58 minutes, the fastest among 2 kWh class units.
  • Expandable Capacity: Compatible with expansion battery and solar panel bundles.
  • RV-Ready: TT-30 outlet, space-efficient design, and durable build for road travel.

You'll also notice Anker specifically mentions its HyperFlash technology, which allows the power station to recharge faster than many similarly sized models on the market. Better yet, the C2000 Gen 2 supports dual AC-input fast charging, meaning you can plug it into a wall, car, or other method and employ solar panels at the same time. This results in a 2,400W power station that can go from 0 to 100% in under an hour. For comparison, my slightly larger Goal Zero Yeti Pro 4000 takes three hours to charge, which is pretty neat.

While output power and fancy features are important, that's only half the story. Anker's new C2000 Gen 2 sports five regular 3-prong AC outlets for a fridge, microwave, and other full-size plugs. You'll also get a 30A RV output, two 140W USB-C ports, one slower USB-C port, and one USB-A port. Like most power stations, there's also a 12V DC cigarette outlet, and more. Basically, it has a little of everything.

Unfortunately, these newer models no longer have the built-in lightbar, which was one of my favorite features of Anker's older power stations. It's also worth noting that it only supports 800W solar charging input, and that's a little less than some of its larger models, like the SOLIX F3800.

The all-new Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2 weighs just over 41 lbs and can be expanded to twice its size using add-on battery packs. So, grab one today while it's on sale and go off-grid, or be prepared for hurricane season and winter storms.
