Standing on stage at DigitalOcean Deploy2025 in London was a surreal feeling. Truly a moment of both pride and gratitude for me. ✨ When we talk about AI today, the conversation often starts with innovation. But the reality for most teams is that costs can quickly become the biggest blocker. I have seen companies build incredible models and cloud-native applications, only to be surprised by bills that weren’t part of the plan. That’s why Anantha Ramachandran and I spoke on “Slashing AI & Cloud Costs”, where we shared real-world lessons from DigitalOcean customers Anže Vidmar and Aurelian Motica 👏 Key highlights: 1. Proactive cost tracking is the foundation. Dashboards, alerts, and budgets aren’t “nice-to-haves,” they are essential. 2. Right-sizing and smart architectures ensure strong performance without overspending. 3. Most importantly, cost savings aren’t just about cutting bills, but also about unlocking resources to fuel innovation. 🇬🇧 Behind every stage moment is a team that makes it possible. At 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗢𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻 Deploy 2025 London, I shared our perspective on 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 through a four-stage 𝗔𝗜 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 — grounded in what we architects experience on the ground with customers. From DevOps pain points to solve debugging with agentic workflows, the talk was about connecting technology to reality and closing the “last mile.” A highlight was sharing the story of Traversal, a NYC startup using agentic workflows to debug: 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘪𝘵, 𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘵, 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘵. It tied perfectly with my closing line inspired by the UK phrase “𝘚𝘦𝘦 𝘪𝘵, 𝘚𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘵, 𝘚𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥” → “𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘪𝘵, 𝘛𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘵, 𝘚𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥.” One highlight was unexpectedly running into Marco Weinand, a UK customer I only met once last December. He remembered me and called out my name. That moment of recognition reminded me why this work matters: 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀. And none of this would have been possible without the incredible effort of our 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, and 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 — whose preparation, story-shaping, and behind-the-scenes work let us focus fully on delivering. Equally meaningful was reuniting with our 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺. Many of us met in person for the very first time — and some of those first conversations felt like bonds you know will last a lifetime. Shared meals, late-night chats, and spontaneous breakfasts became just as valuable as the sessions themselves. Deploy wasn’t just about products. It was about people — those who build, those who support, and those who connect ideas to impact. What an incredible few days in London at the DigitalOcean Deploy Conference. It was an absolute honour to take the stage and share what we’re building at LawVo, and even more inspiring to be surrounded by such a passionate and forward-thinking community. The energy in the room was unmatched, from the founders pushing boundaries in their industries to the engineers solving tough problems and the DigitalOcean team who made everyone feel welcome with their warmth and hospitality. A huge thank you to all the new friends, connections, and brilliant minds I met. I left every conversation with fresh ideas and new perspectives. And to the other speakers and sessions, thank you for the insights and knowledge you shared; I’m leaving this conference more inspired than ever.
