General Atomics celebrated our 8th Supplier Day, bringing together valued supplier partners to recognize the collaboration, performance, and strong relationships that contribute to our continued mission success. This year, our in-person Supplier Day events were held across three locations — Centennial, Colorado; Tupelo, Mississippi; and San Diego, California — providing opportunities to connect with our supplier partners in a more personal and engaging setting. Each event brought suppliers and General Atomics leadership together for networking, facility tours, meaningful conversations, and recognition of our outstanding 2026 Supplier Award recipients: 🏆 Supplier Performance Award Recognizing suppliers who demonstrated exceptional performance in key areas including on-time delivery, quality, and delivery in full. • Scot Forge • America II Electronics • Sierra Circuits • New England Wire Technologies 🏆 Mission Excellence Award Recognizing suppliers for their exceptional contributions, partnership, and support in advancing our programs and mission success. • Kurt J. Lesker Company • Dynamic Structures & Materials, LLC • Iris Technology • PLASTIFAB SAN DIEGO • Compass Group USA And Supplier Day isn’t over yet! We look forward to bringing our broader supplier community together for the 2026 General Atomics Virtual Supplier Day on November 10, from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. PT. Current and prospective suppliers are invited to join us to hear from General Atomics leadership, learn more about our products and capabilities, and participate in breakout sessions covering key topics for our supplier community. Last week, we welcomed nearly 100 members of the local community to the DIII-D National Fusion Facility in San Diego for a behind-the-scenes look at how we are advancing the science and technology needed for fusion energy! From elementary school students to working professionals and fusion enthusiasts of all ages, attendees came together to learn more about the exciting world of fusion research. Each tour began with an introductory seminar exploring what plasma is, how fusion works, and why scientists are working to harness its potential as a future energy source. From there, visitors got an up-close look at DIII-D, including the tokamak, control room, gyrotrons, cooling systems, and more. The best part? Thanks to our visitors’ enthusiasm, we're now making these tours a twice-yearly tradition during Nuclear Science Week in October and Fusion Energy Week in May! If you couldn’t join us this time, keep an eye out for registration opening for our next public tours early in 2027. Thank you to everyone who joined us! We loved sharing the fascinating science happening right here in San Diego with our community. Note: DIII-D is operated by General Atomics on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). #DIIID #NuclearScienceWeek #GeneralAtomics

What if we could transform nuclear waste into something easier to manage? ⚛️ General Atomics is taking on a lead industrial role in an exciting new effort to tackle one of nuclear energy’s biggest challenges: managing used nuclear fuel. As part of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)'s ARPA-E NEWTON program, we're collaborating with Jefferson Lab, Stellant Systems, Inc., and Oak Ridge National Laboratory to develop technology that could make nuclear waste processing more efficient and affordable. The science behind this effort has a surprising connection to something we use every day – microwaves! The team is developing a magnetron combiner, a device that will combine microwave energy into a powerful source to help operate particle accelerators. These accelerators could transform hazardous radioactive materials from used nuclear fuel into shorter-lived forms, making the process cheaper and easier to manage. The potential extends beyond nuclear energy, with future applications ranging from medical isotope production to breaking down PFAS, commonly known as “forever chemicals.” Learn more about how we're helping advance American nuclear innovation: https://bit.ly/4eL5mv6 #NuclearScienceWeek #ARPAE #GeneralAtomics
