Bringing PlanetHAUS to life at #ClimateWeekNYC at the beautiful Maxwell Social felt like the beginning of something new. It was clear that the appetite for a more sustainable world is there, as are the solutions and the community that can make it happen. And within the change-making that needs to happen - at an incredibly urgent and accelerated pace - there also needs to be space carved out for joy. Joy is the fuel that makes a revolution truly irresistible. And PlanetHAUS was filled with joy.

A party probably isn't truly a party without alcohol, and at PlanetHAUS our alcohol partners are finding a beautiful balance between investing in sustainable practices and bringing products to market that delight customers. These brands are leading the way on alcohol sustainability - from protecting jaguars in Belize, to investing in healthier soils in Northern California, to producing vodka out of Kernza, to an innovative climate solutions company / oatmilk brand that's moonlighting as a signature cocktail creator. Shout-out to Ashland Food Co-op for releasing their 2024 Annual Sustainability Report— and moreso, for being one of the only independent grocers to voluntarily measure and map its indirect emissions. Their intention - by gaining a deeper understanding of their emissions profile and taking action, they can be a blueprint for other co-ops, independent grocery stores, and the broader grocery industry to follow suit. Truly walking the talk and extending a hand to bring the industry along with them. AFC has engaged Planet FWD to be the analysis engine of their Greenhouse Gas Inventory, including Scope 3, which will be the foundation for its 2030 sustainability goals and AFC Climate Action Plan.  We're honored to support this work, and grateful for the partnership with Chris Byrne and the AFC team.
