Tech-Moms 5 Years! 🥳 Worth watching as KUTV 2News / KMYU highlights our the impact and importance of our work— So many dreams have come true, including my own, in seeing life transformations created through access to the best jobs out there for moms. As we say — “Tech Jobs are Mom Jobs.” Our focus is not just on the tech skills (that is the easy part) it is the confidence and our incredible community that creates success! You pair that with the work that we do to remove all the barriers that are there for our students..including childcare, affordable access to education, job placement, resume reviews, interview coaching…just to name a few, and you see truly inspiring transformations! Thank you to mark koelbel for taking a night off the news to join us for our 5 Year Anniversary Celebration and bringing along Mountain America Credit Union who donated to our cause. They were so moved by our students stories they tripled their donation that evening! What an unforgettable night! Our 5-Year Celebration on Wednesday went so smoothly, and it was all thanks to the incredible people who showed up and supported us. A huge shout-out to our event sponsor, Google Fiber—a long-time supporter of Tech-Moms—and to our event host, Progressive Leasing, whose hospitality was nothing short of amazing. We were honored to kick off the evening with powerful words from our board members, UVU Vice President Kyle A. Reyes, Ph.D., and Adobe’s Alison Lutjemeier. An extra heartfelt thank you to our alumni storytellers—Kristen Miles, PMP®, Keri Mae, and Kelsey Taylor—who moved the entire room to tears.
