Thank you, Jane Goodall, for rolling up your sleeves and showing us the way. Over 91 years until her passing earlier this week, Goodall devoted her life to reshaping the way we perceive humans' closest living biological relatives as well as education and advocacy on humanitarian causes and protecting the natural world. A new short documentary from GBH News takes viewers into The Pryde, New England’s first LGBTQ+ welcoming, affordable senior housing community. They lived through the AIDS crisis, the fight for same-sex marriage, and the emergence of the trans rights movement. Now, they live together in a former public school in Boston’s Hyde Park neighborhood. The Pryde is a target and a refuge — a place where residents believe the strength of community is their most powerful tool in the ongoing fight for civil rights. Meet Eddie, one of the residents, in the clip below. "Living in Pryde" from GBH News is available to stream now: https://bit.ly/4pQ65iL

Dr. Henry Kissinger’s rise to power was, in many ways, utterly improbable, and his early story is the one that held the most surprises for filmmaker Barak Goodman, the producer behind the upcoming documentary "Kissinger" from American Experience PBS. How did the young man who escaped fascist Germany and spoke no English go on to become a highly respected intelligence officer and ultimately one of the best-known foreign policy experts of modern times? FRONTLINE PBS, produced at GBH, is two years into the Youth Civic Voices Initiative, a collaborative fellowship with MIT Center for Constructive Communication and Cortico. This program is breaking new ground at the intersection of journalistic storytelling, AI learning, and civic dialogue by bringing Boston-based students together under the roof of the MIT Media Lab for six weeks to foster productive conversations around emerging technologies and how they’ll impact the world. “I care so much about this fellowship,” says FRONTLINE editor-in-chief and executive producer Raney Aronson. “When you’re in a structured environment with young people, it’s incredible what you can learn about your own storytelling, how your journalism comes across. The bigger purpose is that — and it’s truly why I do this work every single day — I want to inspire conversation and education, and for people to think hard and have their opinions change. It’s just been extraordinary seeing these kids model that. Every time I walk into that room, I leave feeling inspired, having learned something I’ve never thought of before.” Read more: FRONTLINE Engages the Next Generation of Storytellers: https://bit.ly/46vyMbZ

What happens when passion meets practice? "Getting into Opera" is a new digital series from GBH Music, in partnership with Boston Lyric Opera and New England Conservatory of Music that pairs emerging vocalists with greats in the field, including Patricia Racette, Susan Graham, and Davone Tines, for an engaging masterclass. In the first episode, tenor Morgan Mastrangelo, who fell in love with opera during the COVID pandemic, gets real-time feedback from Tines for their performance of Donizetti’s “Ah! mes amis.” Watch GBH Music's "Getting into Opera" on YouTube: https://bit.ly/4gbU7eJ
