David Ronald shared thisAre you like me? Have you noticed how most company newsletters all feel the same? They're packed with company news, product updates, and links to the latest blog posts... And not much that makes you excited to open the next email. The newsletters I actually look forward to reading have something in common: they teach me something useful. I'd guess that the marketing teams that create those newsletters ask, "What would our audience find valuable today?" instead of asking, "What do we want to tell our audience?" In my opinion a few things that make a newsletter worth subscribing to include: 🔹Share one great idea instead of five average ones. 🔹Help readers solve a real problem. 🔹Offer a perspective they won't find everywhere else. 🔹Write something that's worth forwarding to a coworker or friend. 🔹Make people feel like the two minutes they spent reading were well invested. A great newsletter is one of the best ways to build trust over time and a simplet test is this: If you stopped publishing tomorrow, would your subscribers miss it? If the answer is no, it may be time to rethink your approach. (I've put a link to an article with more information on this topic in the comments 👇) If you have a moment can you let me know what keeps you coming back to a newsletter time after time. #EmailMarketing #MarketingTipsForCEOs #Newsletters

David Ronald shared thisThe Coca-Cola Company has just reported another standout quarter, with volume growth across the business. It got me thinking... A lot of companies treat brand building and demand generation like they're competing priorities. But the best companies know they work together. Coca-Cola is successful for a variety of reasons, of course, and one of the key ones is because people know the brand, trust it, and choose it over alternatives. And that's a good reminder... We marketers are often under pressure to generate leads this quarter. And that's important. But, if we don't invest in positioning, messaging, customer stories, and brand awareness, every lead becomes harder and more expensive to win. In my opinion, the companies that consistently outperform aren't just filling the pipeline.. but building a brand that makes the pipeline easier to fill. What do you think? Morever, do you think companies today are investing enough in brand, or has the pendulum swung too far toward short-term demand generation? #BrandBuilding #MarketingTipsForCEOs

David Ronald shared thisNot so long ago I had an interesting conversation with a small business owner. Even though the business environment has changed, they still believe the approach that worked years ago will work today. It got me thinking... Sometimes the biggest challenge in business is becoming too comfortable with what has always worked. It's the inertia that we humans are all prone to. Unfortunately markets don't stand still: customers' expectations change, competitors find better ways to solve problems, and new technologies emerge. It should be obvious that the people and companies that continue to grow are the ones who stay open to new ideas. So, my advice on this Monday morning, to myself and anyone reading this, is to stay hungry enough to keep learning. Keep asking, "Is there a better way?" Stay optimistic enough to believe that change creates opportunity, and not uncertainty. Sure, you don't have to reinvent your business every year - but you do have to keep evolving. Happy Monday everyone! #MarketingTipsForSMBs #MondayMotivation

David Ronald shared thisAI is enabling ABM to reach its full potential. In my experience the biggest challenge with ABM has never been strategy… It's been scale. Every marketer knows the ABM recipe: 🔹Identify the right accounts. 🔹Research each company. 🔹Personalize the message. 🔹Deliver the right content at the right time. Yet, there’s a problem… Doing that for hundreds of target accounts has traditionally required enormous time and resources. Now, thanks to the availability of AI marketers are able to 🔸Identify high-potential accounts faster. 🔸Uncover buying signals humans might miss. 🔸Personalize outreach at scale. 🔸Recommend the next best action based on real-time data. 🔸Give sales teams richer account intelligence before every conversation. The result is more personalization, delivered more efficiently. In my opinion, the companies that gain the biggest advantage will be the ones that combine AI with smart marketing strategy, strong messaging, and close sales alignment. (I’ve added a link to an article with more information in the comments 👇) Let me know your thoughts. #ABM #ImpactOfAIInMarketing #MarketingTipsForCEOs

David Ronald shared thisPharmaceutical companies used to focus on developing the next big drug. And, yes, while that approach still matters, it's no longer enough. Eli Lilly and Company is showing that the future of pharma is about building an entire ecosystem around the patient, not just about discovering medicines. Think about what's changing: 🔹Digital tools that improve adherence and outcomes. 🔹Data that helps personalize treatment. 🔹Partnerships that expand access to care. 🔹Consumer-grade experiences that make healthcare less intimidating. 🔹AI that accelerates research while improving patient engagement. In other words, the competitive advantage is shifting from products to platforms and experiences. This is a lesson that extends well beyond healthcare - every industry eventually reaches a point where the product becomes the entry ticket, and not the differentiator. And innovation is happening in marketing, customer experience, commercialization, and business model design. The companies that recognize this shift first will define the next generation of market leaders. I'm interested in knowing which industry you think is next to reinvent itself in the same way. Do let me know. #BusinessTransformation #GoToMarket #ProductMarketing

David Ronald shared thisI've seen more than a few mistakes made by executive leadership over the years. And one of the most common ones is measuring the impact of product marketing on the number of assets it produces. Yes, launch plans, sales decks, messaging frameworks, and battle cards are needed and all have their place... But they're not the reason product marketing teams can be indispensable. The real value comes from helping the business make smarter commercial decisions. Which markets should we pursue? Which customer segments offer the greatest opportunity? How should we position ourselves to win? Where should we invest, and where shouldn't we? Those decisions have a far greater impact on growth than another slide deck or one more piece of sales collateral. Product marketing should be viewed by executive teams as a strategic partner, bringing customer insight, market intelligence, and competitive perspective to the decisions that shape the business. And the best product marketers should be remembered for the strategic decisions they helped their companies make, not for the assets they created. #Leadership #MarketingTipsForCEOs #PMM

David Ronald shared thisIBM's profit warning caught a lot of people by surprise. For many, the takeaway was simple: "IBM missed expectations." But, in my experience that's rarely the whole story... Companies don't wake up one morning and suddenly lose their edge. More often, it's a series of small shifts. Customers become more cautious, competitors change the conversation, buying priorities evolve, or the market simply moves faster than expected. That's why I've always believed product marketing is about much more than launching products... It's about making sure your company stays connected to what customers actually value today, not what they valued last year. Every earnings surprise is a reminder that technology alone isn't enough. Even great products need the right positioning, clear messaging, and a compelling story that resonates with buyers in a changing market. The lesson is relevant to every technology company, not just IBM. As leaders, we should regularly ask ourselves: 🔹Are we still speaking to our customers' biggest priorities? 🔹Has our market changed more than our messaging? 🔹Are we creating demand—or assuming demand will find us? Those questions often matter more than the quarterly numbers. #GoToMarket #MarketingTipsForCEOs #ProductMarketing

David Ronald shared thisMost companies compete within a market. But some companies redefine the market itself. From my experience, the companies that successfully create categories typically do three things: 1. They reframe the problem – they identify a hidden cost, unmet need, or market shift that others have overlooked. 2. They introduce a new way of thinking – they create the frameworks, language, and metrics that help buyers understand the problem differently. 3. They make their solution the natural answer – their product becomes synonymous with the category they created. This was our playbook when I worked at BigBand Networks, an innovative network equipment vendor in the cable television space. But category creation is, however, about more than just clever positioning and messaging, and requires: 🔹A compelling narrative. 🔹Consistent market education. 🔹Alignment across product, marketing, sales, and leadership. Too many companies try to win by explaining why they are better. Category creators win by helping customers understand why the old way of thinking is no longer enough. Category creation is about starting a new conversation. #CategoryCreation #MarketingTipsForCEOs

David Ronald shared thisHonest opinion... I've watched marketing teams spend weeks developing a webinar, research report, customer story, or thought leadership article, only to publish it once, promote it briefly, and then move on to creating something new before the original asset has delivered anywhere close to its full value. This is a mistake. The most effective marketing teams approach content very differently because they recognize that the value of an idea is not determined by the effort required to create it, but by how many relevant audiences ultimately encounter it. Instead of treating every asset as a one-time event, they treat every asset as the starting point for a broader distribution strategy that extends across multiple channels, formats, and audiences. 🔹A webinar can become a series of video clips, a blog article, social media posts, sales enablement content, and email campaigns. 🔹A customer success story can support demand generation, product marketing, customer marketing, and sales conversations. 🔹A research report can generate weeks or even months of content that reaches prospects through entirely different channels. The goal is to maximize the reach, lifespan, and impact of the ideas that are already being created, not simply produce more content. This matters because buyers rarely discover a company's message through a single touchpoint. In many ways, modern marketing has evolved from a content creation challenge into a content distribution challenge, and the companies that understand that distinction are often the ones that generate the greatest awareness, engagement, and momentum. How is your organization approaching multi-channel content distribution today? #ModernMarketing #MarketingTipsforCEOs

David Ronald reacted on thisDavid Ronald reacted on thisA gentle reminder for anyone still stinging from a "no": The job you don't get is not always the job you lost. Sometimes it's the bullet you dodged, and you just can't see it yet. I've watched this play out more times than I can count. Someone gets rejected, takes it hard, spends weeks convinced that role was The One that got away. And then a year later? That company had three rounds of layoffs. Or the manager they'd have reported to turned out to be a nightmare. Or the role got quietly gutted six months in. Or they landed somewhere else entirely; somewhere that turned out to fit them so much better they can't believe they ever wanted the first thing. You almost never get to see the alternate timeline in the moment. When the rejection lands, all you feel is the door closing. You don't get to see what was actually on the other side of it. I'm not saying every "no" is secretly a gift. Some are just disappointing, full stop, and you're allowed to grieve them. But I am saying that you genuinely do not have enough information right now to know whether this one was a loss or a lucky escape. The story isn't over. You're reading it from the middle. So if you're sitting with a fresh rejection today, holding it as proof that something went wrong, please try loosening your grip on that just a little. You don't know yet. It might have been the wrong room. It might have been protecting you from something you couldn't see. Give it a year. I mean it; so many of the 'nos' that flatten you today are the exact ones you'll look back on with a hand on your heart, thinking thank god that didn't work out. The right door is still ahead of you. This one closing might be the very thing that frees you to walk through it. #CareerAdvice #OpenToWork #JobSearch

David Ronald liked thisDavid Ronald liked thisJuly 2026 has been a devastating, precedent-setting month for wildfires. It's impossible to claim that wildfire is just a California problem or an Australia problem. It’s a global one. This month, we’ve watched major fires impact communities across North America and Europe. Hundreds of thousands of people have been evacuated, firefighters have worked around the clock, and entire regions have experienced weeks of smoke, heat, and uncertainty. Europe, in particular, is experiencing one of its most severe fire seasons on record, with a historic pyrocumulus cloud in Bordeaux, and hundreds of thousands evacuated from their homes. What’s striking isn’t just the number of fires. It’s how similar the conversations have become worldwide. Utilities are asking how to reduce ignition risk. Emergency managers are asking how to gain situational awareness faster. Communities are asking how to evacuate earlier and recover more quickly. The questions are increasingly the same whether you’re in California, Alberta, Spain, France, or Australia. This month serves as a reminder that adaptation to natural disasters can no longer be treated as optional or something in the distant future. We need better forecasting. Better fuels management. Better detection. Better operational intelligence. Better coordination. Better manpower. And more investment in innovation. And we need to deploy these capabilities at a pace that matches the growing risk. https://lnkd.in/gS3rN4ynRace to extinguish blazes across Europe as fire weather breaks recordsRace to extinguish blazes across Europe as fire weather breaks records

The one constant through all of it is that the best product people have that ability to change and reinvent themselves. It's that growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, and combination of right brain and left brain that makes them so successful. Today you need tremendous AI skills to be successful as a product builder. Three years ago you didn't. And in two, three, or five years you'll need a different skill set again. So product builders, keep your growth mindset. That's what makes you great.

The piece digs into how AI, with all of its promise, data, and advantage, is amplifying the problem. From Tom: "Marketing has never had more technology. Or more AI. Or more data. Yet most marketing organizations still struggle to turn those investments into measurable business performance. If marketing operates with connected data, aligned teams and disciplined workflows, AI accelerates growth. If marketing runs on disconnected systems, siloed functions and inconsistent processes, AI simply magnifies the dysfunction. That’s why the competitive advantage isn’t AI adoption. It’s the operating model behind it." Read Tom’s blog and more about our latest research findings here: https://lnkd.in/dU-BEsMH

This is the part of ABM everyone talks about but very few teams actually master: Leadership-led execution. Most transformations don’t fail because of weak strategy or imperfect tools. They fail because the leadership engine isn’t built to support the change. On this week’s REV UP Rebellion podcast, our CEO Abbie White sat down with Kamila Hutchison, Group Go-To-Market Lead at CHG-MERIDIAN, to unpack what made their initial ABM pilot deliver: - $27M in pipeline in the first 90 days - A Tier 1 client win during the pilot - A 400% increase in opportunity volume across participating sellers In this clip, Kamila reveals something most organisations underestimate: ABM succeeds when leadership turns alignment into a blueprint and working rhythm to ensure successful execution. She shares how they: • Secured active support from their Chief Sales Officer and global EVP team • Created a clear leadership communication plan • Kept leaders close to the milestones, signals and early wins • Used agile to keep meetings short and execution lean • Built leadership advocacy into the culture of the project Executive support wasn’t passive. It became part of their operating rhythm. Keeping things lean and using agile principles was key to making the change stick. Most teams talk about alignment. Very few operationalise it like this. Watch the snippet, then catch the full episode for the complete behind-the-scenes blueprint. 🎧 Most ABM Fails. AI is rewriting the B2B GTM playbook, but not replacing the human touch. Here are 4 practical shifts we’re seeing: - Signal-based targeting beats cold lists. Follow real intent, not just titles. - Faster learning loops: AI helps test, tweak, and optimize messaging on the fly. - Agile handoffs: Let automation handle volume: but make sure humans step in for high-stakes moments. - Data-driven intros: The right warm intro is worth 10 cold emails; AI can spot them, but trust must still be built. Takeaway: In B2B, AI gets you in the door faster. But relationships and trust? Still 100% human. #GTM #B2B #AI #Sales #HumanTouch

The Hidden GTM Cost Nobody Talks About: Slow Execution Most GTM plans don’t fail because the strategy was wrong. They fail because the team couldn’t execute fast enough. Every week without usable content slows your pipeline. AEs wait. Partners guess. Marketing reworks the same assets over and over. Momentum dies long before the target does. Speed isn’t a “nice-to-have.” It’s the multiplier that turns GTM intent into actual revenue. And this is where carousels change the game. They remove friction, shorten approvals, and give teams assets they can use today, not “after the review cycle.” Fast execution = fast pipeline. It’s the simplest competitive advantage in SaaS — and the most overlooked. Takeaway: If you want GTM velocity, fix your execution speed first. Carousels from SaaSili.Digital are built to break GTM walls. #SaaSMarketing #GTMExecution #DemandGen #B2BMarketing #SalesEnablement #PipelineGrowth #SaaSGrowth #MarketingOperations #SaaSiliDigital

New 2025 data reveal the cost of broken GTM coordination: The Alignment Crisis: → Only 30% of sales professionals believe their teams are closely aligned → 79% of marketing leads never convert into sales → 36% of companies have effective handoff processes but gaps in audience alignment But when alignment works: → Companies see 36% higher customer retention rates → 38% higher sales win rates → Up to 208% more revenue growth → Marketing makes sales 8x more effective and 5x more efficient The gap isn't a people problem; it's a process problem. Most GTM teams are operating with: Misaligned definitions of "qualified leads" Disconnected data systems No shared success metrics Quarterly alignment reviews (instead of weekly) The math is clear: Companies become 67% better at closing deals when sales and marketing align. What's your team's alignment score?

Most marketing teams treat content creation as a cost to minimize. That assumption is quietly killing their pipeline. The shift happening right now is called Creation as a Service. It reframes content from a production expense into a repeatable growth mechanism. The problem is that most GTM strategies were built around the old model: brief an agency, wait weeks, publish, repeat. That cycle is too slow and too disconnected from revenue to compete in 2026. Here is what the conventional wisdom gets wrong: creative output and creative infrastructure are not the same thing. Automating the former without building the latter just produces more forgettable content faster. Creation as a Service is built on three pillars: 1. Modular content systems that scale across channels without rebuilding from scratch each time 2. Pricing and packaging aligned to output volume, not hourly effort or retainer size 3. A feedback loop that connects content performance directly to GTM decisions The distinction worth understanding is that this is not creative automation. Automation handles execution. Creation as a Service changes how the entire function is structured, bought, and measured. For GTM teams, the practical question is whether your content model is designed to scale or just to deliver. Where does your current content setup break down first, at the brief stage, the production stage, or the distribution stage? #MarTech #GoToMarket #ContentStrategy #CreativeOperations #GrowthMarketing

That's a wrap. Three days. Twenty-two speakers. Hundreds of marketers. One incredible event. Day 3 of Agentic GTM brought it home. Trinity Nguyen 💎 from UserGems 💎 showed us AI-powered ABM that converts and that sales reps actually love. James Silvestri gave an exclusive deep dive into Metadata's MVT/BID agents. And showed us the art of what's possible when you let AI/ML do the mundane tasks and humans create the strategy and campaign concepts. Carol-Lyn Jardine talked about leading hybrid teams. Because managing humans and AI agents together is a whole new leadership challenge. David Brutman broke down autonomous marketing and what it means to redefine your entire GTM engine for the AI age. Bruno Estrella from Clay explained how AI is fundamentally changing customer acquisition. Not just the tactics. The entire model. And Gil Allouche closed us out with his predictions for 2026: 1. LLMs are the new operating system. They're not just tools. They're the foundation everything else is built on. 2. AI will improve drastically (aka Singularity) in the next 2 years. What's cutting-edge today will look primitive very soon. 3. Don't be left behind - Adopt generative AI in your work even if it isn't 100%. 4. This is a tsunami / gold rush. Imagine it's 1991 before WWW took over. That's where we are right now. Over three days, we heard from leaders who are already doing this. Who are rebuilding their stacks. Who are scaling with tiny teams. Who are winning in ways that weren't possible a year ago. And the energy was incredible. The questions were sharp. The conversations were real. To every speaker who shared their insights, their strategies, their mistakes, and their wins: thank you. To every attendee who showed up, asked questions, and engaged with this community: thank you. This is just the beginning. If you missed any of the sessions, all recordings are available to registered attendees. The future of GTM is being built right now. By people like you. Let's go build it.

Most teams treat events like a one-off marketing expense. The best GTM teams treat them like a market entry strategy. If events aren’t intentionally built into your go-to-market motion, you’re leaving serious pipeline and positioning on the table. Here’s how to use events strategically — not just show up and hope for leads: 🔁 Use events to accelerate trust, not just awareness. Cold outreach builds familiarity. Face-to-face conversations build credibility. Events compress months of back-and-forth into a single interaction where prospects can see, hear, and feel your value. 🎯 Align events with your target segments. Don’t attend everything. Be present where your ideal customers and partners gather. The right room matters more than the biggest room. 📍 Stay consistent in the same markets. One appearance builds visibility. Repeated appearances build authority. When buyers see you active in their ecosystem over time, you stop being a vendor and start becoming part of the market. 🤝 Think partnerships, not just prospects. Events are GTM multipliers. The right partner relationships formed at events can open doors to dozens of accounts you couldn’t access alone. 🧠 Pre-plan your conversations. Who do you want to meet? What problems do you solve for them? What proof points will resonate? Random conversations lead to random outcomes. Intentional conversations lead to pipeline. ⚡ Have a follow-up engine ready before you arrive. Speed wins. The teams that turn event conversations into revenue are the ones who follow up within days — not weeks — with personalized, relevant next steps. 📈 Measure influence, not just badge scans. Events drive pipeline in ways that don’t always show up as “lead source.” Track meetings booked, partnerships formed, opportunities influenced, and deals accelerated. When woven into your GTM strategy, events become more than a marketing line item. They become a relationship engine, a trust builder, and a pipeline accelerator. The question isn’t “Should we attend events?” It’s “Are we using events strategically enough?” #CannabisCommunity #CannabisEvents #CannabisIndustry #GTM #ThoughtLeaderahip
