It's not a walled garden. It sits on top of the stack you already run instead of asking you to tear it down. Palo Alto Networks . Your Microsoft environment. Your cloud. Your identity provider. Your SIEM. It works across all of it. Closed systems make you rebuild your world to unlock their value. Open platforms meet you where you already are. That's the whole game. Security should adapt to your business, not force your business to adapt to it. The strongest platform isn't the one that locks you in. It's the one that works with everything you already trust. For twenty years, defense has been downstream. Something fires, you triage, you respond. The alert was the starting gun. AI just moved the starting line. Frontier models now find exploitable flaws in production code faster than any scanner, any pentest, any human review. The gap between "vulnerability exists" and "vulnerability is weaponized" is collapsing toward zero. This is why CrowdStrike stood up Project QuiltWorks. It's why Anthropic launched Project Glasswing, running its Mythos model against critical code to find the holes before anyone else can. Read that again. The biggest names in the industry are building coalitions around a threat that hasn't fully landed yet. That tells you how fast it's coming. What it means for you: Your detection stack still matters. But detection assumes there's time between compromise and damage. That assumption is eroding. The advantage is shifting to whoever finds the flaw first. Not whoever responds fastest. Speed is free now. Judgment isn't.
