Deva Santiago reposted thisDeva Santiago reposted thisAI Talk in London, let’s go! 🇬🇧 An incredible evening bringing together an outstanding group of founders, investors, engineers, and developers from across the AI ecosystem. We were honored to hear from an exceptional lineup of speakers: 🎤 Erwan Menard from Crusoe shared an overview of the AI landscape and his perspective on AI infrastructure 🎤 Varun Randery from Poolside explored why the boundaries between model, harness, and user interface are dissolving, and how that reshapes how we build apps 🎤 Anton Semenkin from JetBrains revealed how their model, Mellum, aims to deliver better quality-per-latency than today’s SLMs (Small Language Models) 🎤 David Novotný from SpAItial AI impressed the audience with a live demo, showing us their frontier model, Echo, in action. Echo can be prompted with text, or you can upload your own photo and an interactive, consistent 3D world will be created A huge thank you to our Crusoe team — Erwan Menard, Judy Wu, Jay Maloney, Donncha Fenton, Jerome Agnola, Deva Santiago, Henry Huang, Carmel Galliduani, Alejandro Alvaro Gonzalez, Ian Kistner, Nathan Castro, and David Da Silva — for making the evening such a success. Our Crusoe AI Talks series is coming soon to a city near you. Keep an eye out! 🚀

Deva Santiago liked thisDeva Santiago liked thisWe welcomed 115 future mountaineers to our San Francisco office for our annual Bring Your Kids to Work Day festivities — a day filled with creativity, curiosity, and hands-on learning. From LEGO building, face painting, STEM kits, friendship bracelets, woodcrafts, and an AI sketchbot to ping pong and Nintendo Switch free play, there was something for every age to explore. At our AI Playground, kids as young as five designed robots, imagined futuristic factories and brought their biggest ideas to life. 🤖 Meanwhile, kids and teens 12+ stepped into the tech world through hands-on workshops that challenged them to think like product developers and sales teams. They connected with Crusoe's summer interns for advice on making the most of high school, sharpened their job-hunting skills with our Recruiting and TA teams, and even got an introduction to cloud computing by Staff Solutions Engineer Martin Cala. We wrapped up the day with an ice cream party. 🍦 A huge thank you to our San Francisco team and their families for making this year's Bring Your Kids to Work Day such a memorable celebration. Special thanks to Crusoe VP of Talent Deva Santiago for hosting the morning AMA and to our Regional Workplace Manager Mina Azim and Workplace Intern Skyler Duffield for organizing this incredible day.

Deva Santiago liked thisDeva Santiago liked thisI came to Crusoe thinking the hardest part about AI infrastructure was understanding it. It turned out the hardest part was telling its story. AI infrastructure is dense, fast-moving, and hard to explain. But as I reflect on my 12 weeks here at Crusoe as a Product Marketing intern, I realized the real challenge was never understanding the tech itself. It was telling the story of the tech: how to meet people where they are, how to earn someone's attention, and how to empathetically explain difficult concepts. As I wrap up my time here, I'm taking with me not just a field I find fascinating, but a skill I want to keep developing: storytelling in tech. Even the best technology can go unnoticed if no one understands why it matters, and learning to close that gap has been one of the most valuable parts of this internship. This is a skill I'm still building. But I know who gave me a head start: - To Hailie Meehan and Jess Goldberg, thank you for your mentorship and for always encouraging me to be confident. - To Kathleen Merto, thank you for building such a meaningful internship program. - To Lily Panabaker, my fellow intern, thank you for bringing such positive energy every single day. - To the entire product marketing team, thank you for trusting me with real work and showing me how it's done.

To everyone I had the privilege of supporting at Crusoe — across Engineering, Marketing, and Data — thank you. It was a privilege to help build such thoughtful, talented teams, and I'm grateful for every relationship and lesson along the way. Wishing the team continued success ahead. 🙌 A special thank you to Deva Santiago, my VP of Recruiting, for the mentorship, guidance, and belief in me throughout my time there. Leaders like you make all the difference, and I carry so much of what I learned from you into this next step. 😊 Now, I'm thrilled to bring everything I've learned to Together AI, and excited to help build out an incredible team. Always happy to connect with anyone in my network along the way! ✨ For those who aren't familiar with Together AI: we run a cloud platform that lets businesses train and deploy AI on open-source models like Llama, Mistral, and Qwen — at significantly lower cost than proprietary, closed systems. Our serverless inference service lets developers run open-source AI models without having to configure the underlying GPUs or networking themselves. Excited to be joining a team at the center of where enterprise AI infrastructure is heading. #NewBeginnings #TogetherAI #TechRecruiting

Deva Santiago liked thisDeva Santiago liked thisCrusoe is growing fast. We celebrated 1,000 employees last year and have added more than 300 in the past three months. 🎉 Last week, our Co-Founder and CEO, Chase Lochmiller, sat down with new hires and interns in our SF office for an open Q&A. He broke the ice with a quick overview of his role at Crusoe, how the business has evolved over the years, and what it’s like to be at the center of a historic infrastructure build. As we approach our 8th anniversary and continue scaling with top talent across the globe, it’s important to maintain the feeling of a smaller organization: one where employees feel seen, heard, and connected to our mission. Congratulations to our new teammates! We know you’ll make us proud. Ready to make an impact on the future of AI? Explore our open roles: ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gEriZRzT

Deva Santiago liked thisDeva Santiago liked thisNo one would accuse me of having a linear career path. I studied history at college, worked for years in non profit and philanthropy, made a hard-pivot to executive search, and after a stint at a high-growth tech company, eight years ago I landed at a venture fund. I didn’t know it at the time, but an excellent public education and a History degree from UCLA established a strong foundation for future success. I combined that with naive determination, insatiable curiosity, hard work, and the extraordinary power of both strong- and weak-ties. It was such a privilege, and quite emotional tbh, to share my story in the commencement address to the 2026 graduates of the UCLA Meyer and Renee Luskin Department of History My message focused on how to meet an ever-changing world and the ways that successful people navigate chaos. History majors are experts in the study of change and chaos over time; they are extremely well-equipped to meet this moment. The bright light of UCLA first drew me to the west coast many years ago. That light burns even brighter today, and I am certain the light of this class will propel them to make an extremely positive impact on the world. Buckle up, Class of 2026 . Do the work, find your Jeff, and most importantly, Be the Candle 🕯️. Go Bruins! 💙 💛 So many people to thank, this list doesn't nearly cover it all: Accel Jeff Sanders Jeff Markowitz Lucy Tseng Peter Evans Kevin Terraciano Joy Osborne (she/her/hers) Julia Waneka Colette Keane Chantelle Darby Peter Clarke [Link to the full video in comments]

SeeMeHired
Calendly, Zoom, Docs, Spreadsheets, Forms... these are all great tools but they weren't built for recruiting. At best, you can stitch together a process to support interviewing every once in a while. But once volumes are up, managing multiple candidates and interviews can become a nightmare. This is where SeeMeHired Interviews come in. Bringing all the tools you need under one roof: ☑️ Schedule interviews without the back and forth (replaces Calendly/Cal.com) ☑️ Pull up the candidate's background and job requirements during the interview (replaces Docs/PDFs and managing multiple browser tabs) ☑️ See your pre-set interview questions and add notes (replaces Forms) ☑️ Immediately fill out the candidate score card after the interview ends (replaces Spreadsheets for evaluating candidates) Plus all the regular features you'd expect such as audio/video, chat & screen sharing. If you'd like to bring interviewing under one roof, talk to our team today ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dZx33Ug
