I am excited to share that I'm starting my next chapter as Vice President, Product Management at Houlihan Lokey! I've been thinking about how to write this post for a while. I spent 7 years at LinkedIn, practically growing up there during my entire 20s. I came in as an SDR, cold-calling to book meetings, and I left as an AI Product Manager helping build the future of modern sales workflows. It’s hard to quantify the immense impact this company has had on my life. But more than anything, I want to highlight how amazing the people are; they are truly some of the best characters you will ever meet: - The original sales team, who were extremely welcoming and had the absolute best attitude when it came to chasing our targets (Sagar Vashi Jaime R. Matt Flamman, Kristian Jennes, Aaron Fawzy, Renee Nebo, Kait Fitzpatrick James Smith). - The R&D dream team, building and launching LinkedIn’s first B2B GenAI product. I will always cherish the memory of us pulling out our laptops to bug-bash in the middle of the LinkedIn summer party! (Vidit A. Nick Bavafa Louie J. Austin Gray Pramit Roy @Kayi Lukasz Karolewski Chengchang Qian Parth Mehta) - My favorite in-person PMs, collaborating late into the night across business lines in the Empire State Building (Vraj Vyas Lizzie Youshaei Liz Gentile). - Our leadership, recent and past, who provided some of the most brilliant guidance and mentorship anyone could ever ask for Guillaume Dufour Monica Lewis Jonathan Ofori-Amoah Now, looking ahead to the next step, I'm joining Houlihan Lokey to support their data transformation. I strongly believe the financial industry is on the precipice of a massive evolution driven by AI. No other sector has a deeper well of proprietary, "tribal" knowledge ripe for innovation, and the leadership team at Houlihan Lokey is deeply committed to this vision. I’m incredibly excited for the work ahead. Huge thanks to Lindsay Dorf and the HL team for the opportunity. Lastly, a special shoutout to Tara Asef!

James Manganiello shared thisAlrighty, I've built 20+ agents over the last few months and have kept 9 of them. Here are a few things I learned along the way that I wish I had known when I started: 1. Centralize your context layer from day one. (Seriously, this is a pain to correct in the future.) --In Practice: Put all your files in a central, organized area (I use Notion, but GDrive or local files work well). Please note that connections to different apps can fail. Enterprise tools like Glean are great at creating these centralized layers for your business. --Why: Having a central context layer for your work or personal projects is tremendously helpful. Not only can you transfer to new models more easily, but agents can also interact and hand off work to each other. If you're building more than one agent, prioritize model portability before building the second one. 2. Be ready to change how you work. You eliminate some work, but you will create new work as well. --In Practice: Spend some additional time ensuring that agents capture new data automatically. If its just in your brain (ex. whether you did your to-do list) be prepared to spend some extra time providing ‘reports’ to your agent. It’s worth it. --Why: Agents don't eliminate work. They trade execution work for judgment work. The work I used to do (plan the day) disappeared. The work I had to start doing (tell the agent what "good" looked like) was new. 3. Agents will fail (especially early). Observability isn't optional. Build a watchdog. --In Practice: [Screenshot] Every run from every agent lands in one log: output, learnings, items touched, timestamp (see screenshot). On top of that sits a Watchdog agent that reads the log every morning and flags anomalies, missed runs, unusual gaps, zero-output streaks, and weird timing. An agent that watches the agents. --Why: Agents fail silently. They run on schedule, they return empty, they log success, and three weeks later, you realize the one scanning for new opportunities has been quietly broken since a token expired. James Manganiello shared thisIf you've ever tried to implement time-blocking for tasks, you know how tedious it is to manually block your calendar for specific tasks. Here's a super easy agent setup with Claude Cowork, Notion, and Gmail. This will categorize tasks into Deep work or Tactical tasks and block an hour or 15-30 minutes respectively, but tweak as you see fit. This will run at 9 PM Sun-Thurs, and will provide an email brief to prep you for your next day with whom you're meeting, what they'll want, and then your task priorities. This can be run manually as well to keep your schedule flexible. This took a few iterations and is still not perfect, so provide any feedback if you end up using. Full copy/paste prompt in comments 👇

Prompt below Drop it in the new Agents feature, point it at your meetings folder, and it will: ✅ Categorize your notes automatically ✅ Move them into the right folders ✅ Generate an executive summary ✅ Log your action items to a tracker — with due dates (p.s. Amanda Handlos Oliver Saikaly, let me know if theres a better way) Prompt: ROLE: You are a meeting note organization agent. You handle post-meeting note labeling, organization, and action item logging so nothing falls through the cracks. TRIGGER: When a new meeting is added to 'AI Meeting Notes'. If that connection point does not work, run Monday - Friday at 5 PM local time. TASK: You will read through the 'Meetings' folder in my Notion instance and accomplish the following. CATEGORIZATION: Categorize the meeting notes based on their contents into 3 categories. 1) 'Stealth Idea' - anything related to the early-stage startup concept I'm developing. Look for clues based on who we're talking to and discussions around product ideation, fundraising, and go-to-market strategy. 2) '1-on-1s' - any interview, mock interview, or coaching session will go here. Additionally, any structured career or professional development conversation will fall in this category. 3) 'Personal Development' - any reflective, wellness, or personal growth discussion will go here. SORTING: Based on their label, copy the notes from the meeting and move them into these respective folders. 1) 'Stealth Idea' - PASTE LANDING PAGE HERE 2) '1-on-1s' - PASTE LANDING PAGE HERE 3) 'Personal Development' - PASTE LANDING PAGE HERE EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Within the new file, as the copied meeting, provide an executive summary. Sections: Key Learnings or Decisions, Open Questions, Action Items (if applicable), Next Meeting Agenda Items (if applicable). Only include information explicitly stated in the transcript. ACTION ITEMS: Action items that I own, please add to this tracker with the right due date if available from the transcript. PASTE LANDING PAGE HERE. If there is no due date tied to the action item from the transcript, please set it to the following day. For now, you may ignore action items that are not owned by me. CONSTRAINTS: Base all content strictly on the transcript. Do not infer or fabricate any details not explicitly discussed. Run the executive summary and action items in parallel using sub-agents since they do not depend on each other.

James Manganiello posted thisI've got to say there are few products that I am constantly as delighted with as Wispr Flow. It is by far the best speech-to-text platform I've used. I've been using it for about 3 months now and it always feels like it's getting better but it never felt like it was bad at all. Does that make sense? I even try to trip it up sometimes. I've used it in busy restaurants. I've used it at sports games. I've tried to say multiple different foreign words or different lines and it always seems to get it. So big shout out to the Wispr Flow team!!

Bhavik Vashi, Siro's new Chief Revenue Officer, spent a decade in Singapore, most of it leading Carta's business across some of its most interesting international markets. Then he started watching where the money moves outside tech. A technician's van. A dealership floor where someone is deciding whether to trust the person in front of them. He calls it an AI disparity gap. The AI that exists for frontline sales and service work is built almost entirely to automate. It replaces the person doing the job. Bhavik's bet runs the other way. He wants to help the salesperson master the craft and strengthen in-person sales, which is still one of the most accessible paths to financial freedom there is. He left Singapore and a job he loved to move to New York and help build that future.
