Justin Bang shared thisHi LinkedIn! A dear friend of mines is looking for a new internship after #covid19 #internship #cancellations. I'd be extremely grateful if anyone out there knows of someone who is hiring for #summer2020 internships in Software Engineering, Product Management, or anything in Technology! #softwareengineering #recruiting #intern #productmanagement #cancelledJustin Bang shared thisRecently, I received the unfortunate news that my software engineering internship at Nielsen this summer has been cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. I am immensely grateful for having been given this great opportunity -- and while I was looking forward to the summer, I completely understand the difficult decision, as these times have caused difficulty and uncertainty for us all. I am reaching out to my LinkedIn community to search for available internships this upcoming summer related to software engineering, product management, or technology. I have had prior internship experience in software engineering and IT. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone knows of open positions -- and if anyone is facing a similar situation, I would love to help out as best as I can! #internship #covid19 #softwareengineering #productmanagement #intern #student #internships #cancelled #recruiting

Justin Bang liked thisBalancing work and school has undeniably been challenging, but it stands out as one of the best decisions I have made for my personal and career development. Thank you to the University of Washington, Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering Professional Master's Program (PMP) for offering exceptional industry relevant classes related to #nlp, #computervision, and their application in specific domains. These courses have enhanced my ability to effectively deliver on the projects I work on as a consultant at Microsoft. I would especially like to thank Professor Radha Poovendran, May Lim, Wayne Gillam, and Ryan Hoover for giving me the opportunity to share about my experience in the UW PMP TinyML course. A special shout out to Yoshio Ohata, my undergraduate internship mentor, who sparked my interest in TinyML. It’s an absolute honor to be featured! Please feel free to reach out. I would be happy to connect and discuss about my experience. Chuang recently spoke with UW ECE about her experiences in the PMP, specifically with the TinyML course. “I came into the TinyML course with expectations of pretty much just learning about the technology, but I got a whole lot more than that. I’ve gotten a team together, we’ve made an actual project (FacePace), and now we’re taking it even further, aiming for the marketplace, which the entrepreneurship class has helped with,” Chuang said. This prestigious competition compares the performance of a single #AI model translating text across 100 languages in all 10,000 directions. We expect this model to provide the basis for a universal translator, that becomes increasingly better overall as its size, data, and compute time increase. Akin to humans, its richer understanding of some languages contributes to its better understanding of others. And #translation is only one type of the multi-lingual tasks that the model supports. For example, the model can also build #abstractive #answers to queries, or #summarize #content, from across the 100 languages. I can't wait to leverage this model's capabilities in our products (e.g. #Office, #Teams, #Dynamics) and make them available to everybody through #Azure #Cognitive #Services. https://lnkd.in/g4TfUAKC
