Stepful raised $55 million in Series C funding led by Oak HC/FT, with participation from Foresite Capital, Hearst Ventures, the Citi Impact Fund, SemperVirens VC, Y Combinator, Intermountain Health, and ECMC Education Impact Fund. Stepful runs an AI-powered online training platform that partners directly with health systems to train healthcare workers, replacing the enrollment caps and manual workflows of legacy trade schools. The company works with more than 35 major health systems, including Mount Sinai, Ochsner, and Providence, and has graduated over 32,000 practice-ready workers. America's healthcare staffing shortage is one of the biggest constraints on the system, and Stepful is building the pipeline to fill it. Founders: Carl Madi, Tressia Hobeika, Edoardo Serra. Coram AI raised $35 million in Series B funding co-led by Ansa Capital and Battery Ventures, with participation from UP.Partners, 8VC, and Mosaic Ventures. Coram was founded by former leaders of Lyft's self-driving division who applied the same computer vision that helps autonomous vehicles read a scene and avoid accidents to the security cameras already in schools, hospitals, and factories. The platform connects video, access control, and visitor data so its AI can run autonomous investigations across months of footage in minutes, catching risks that human analysts watching monitors would miss.
