    In May 2024, I was one of three finalists selected to compete in the Top Chef Challenge at the Vegan Women Summit. I was the only finalist who was not a professional chef. I created a dish unique and meaningful to me: "Dan Dan Manti," a Chinese-Turkish dish I made just for this competition. It reflects the culinary traditions of two countries that have a special place in my heart: China, where my parents immigrated from, and Turkey, a country I served as a U.S. diplomat in.
