Reid Christian shared thisWhile obvious to us from day one, awesome to see Outtake & Lotus AI on Forbes Next Billion Dollar Startup list! Alex Arjun Dhillon is assembling pound for pound one of the strongest teams I've seen at Outtake, as they take on phishing attacks with AI KJ Dhaliwal & team at Lotus AI have unbounded ambition for what AI can do for personal health We are so fortunate at CRV to have led the Series A of each of these Thanks Forbes & TrueBridge Capital Partners for featuring these two founders on this years list!

Reid Christian shared thisThe foundation of any agent is just code That's why Cognition (coding agent) is acquiring Poke (personal agent) On the surface Poke is a consumer app and Cog sells to enterprises, but the reality is once you've integrated into a company's codebase, you are better positioned to expand from a coding agent to a general enterprise agent platform than any other entry point We've seen this at CodeRabbit for the past year. Usage has exploded across entire organizations by being centrally installed in the codebase and Slack also don't sleep on my boy Jared Palmer's mug top right in this (great pick up by cognition)

Reid Christian shared thisThe way to fundraise right now is to be "Legible to Capital" Right now there are two types of startups that are raising capital from VCs: 1) stupidly obvious credentialed teams with a semblance of an idea ($50M-$200M post) 2) Series B's and C's that don’t require any amount of thinking If the founders are the right demographic (young, cracked, or repeat, access to talent, stanford, nepo, etc...) you are Legible to Capital and capital finds you. Not legible to capital: different backgrounds, different geography, non-obvious path. It's not that you are onto a bad idea, you're just fighting pattern recognition in a lemming industry. That's a different problem. And it requires a different strategy and investor.

Reid Christian reposted thisReid Christian reposted thisBehind every great founder is a small group of early believers most never hear about. The ones who joined before it was obvious. The Risk Takers is a new series from CRV. Each edition features four founding hires; a builder, operator, seller, and amplifier. We sit down with each to hear their story, why they took the leap, and what it's been like since. Our July edition features: - Amy Jin, founding engineer at Decagon - Tuhin Bhattacharyya, founding seller at Legora - Kit Wiggin, founding operator at Listen Labs - Nitya Sridhar, founding marketer/PM at Exa Know someone who belongs? Reid Christian reposted thisReid Christian reposted thisI dropped out of high school at 17 to build my first startup. Now, at 20, I'm thrilled to share that OmenAI has raised $41.5M in total funding to build intelligence protecting the world's most critical AI compute infrastructure. A huge shoutout to our investors, our early customers, and the incredible team at OmenAI for making this possible. Huge thank you to Nava Ventures for leading our A and CRV for leading our seed as well as Vanderbilt, LMNT, Borusan Group, Edward Lando, Starhill Group, Ethan Peterson, Mike Mattacola, Sheryl Sandberg, Mann + Hummel, and many more for investing in and believing in us. I founded Omen 18 months ago with a simple premise: to build machines that think for themselves. We build advanced sensors and AI systems that allow hardware to monitor its own health, predict component failures, and automatically take action before a bottleneck or breakdown ever occurs. - Rapid Scale: Over the past six months, we’ve grown from a solo operation into a dedicated team of over 20 people based out of San Francisco. - Enterprise Traction: We are already seeing incredible market traction and are deploying our technology with multi-billion-dollar infrastructure partners. - Massive Backing: This round gives us the runway to aggressively expand our R&D lab and roll out the next generation of sensors. While there is still a lot of work ahead of us, I’m incredibly excited about the momentum we are seeing. We are actively hiring! If you're an engineer or operator interested in building the future of autonomous infrastructure, comment below or reach out to me directly.

Reid Christian shared thisExactly 2 years ago CodeRabbit was incorporated as a business and I joined the board, ending a 10+ year pursuit to work with Harjot Gill Over the past 2 years the company has grown to 20k customers and 250 employees by leading and defining the AI code review market The bet: as AI code generation exploded, the bottleneck would shift from writing code to reviewing it. What wasn't clear to me was just how big code gen would be Claude Code (Anthropic) - Billions in Revenue Devin (Cognition) - ~$1B revenue Cursor (xAI) - Billions in Revenue Copilot (Github) - Billions in Revenue Codex (OpenAI - Billions in Revenue So what started as a niche subsegment of the coding category has exploded and CodeRabbit is the leader HQ'd in SF, with offices in Boston and London. The team is hiring across all roles. link in top comment .

Reid Christian shared thisAnyone who has met me knows I have zero taste, except for my taste in exceptional founders And anyone who has met Thais Castello Branco knows she’s meant to build Taste Labs. On a mission to end AI slop! Thrilled to lead the $18.5M seed round alongside my partners Veronica Orellana & Mia Krishnamurthy here at CRV! You can recognize AI slop when you see it, read it. It’s a fundamental data problem from what LLMs are trained on. Thais and the incredible team coming together at Taste are working with the AI labs and application companies producing UI and text, raising the bar (from literally the floor) on quality Stoked to finally team up with Sarah Catanzaro Amplify Partners and Heston Berkman Banter Capital BoxGroup

Reid Christian shared thisIt only took me 15 years of investing to get nerd sniped by robotics and Carla Gómez Cano is to blame My partner Anja Zehfuss and I are stoked to lead THEKER Robotics $85M Series A! One of the most ambitious founders in the world Jordi Romero said Carla might be even more ambitious than himself, as he watched Carla build Theker from the Factorial office. So what are they up to? And why Europe’s largest Robotics series A? Industrial robots for manufacturing - check out the video to see!

Reid Christian liked thisReid Christian liked thisA few weeks ago, I stepped down from my role at CodeRabbit. When you do an impactful role, the results speak for themselves, and you feel fulfilled in life. CodeRabbit is one such fulfilling experience over the last two years. We grew the brand, community, company, and revenue manyfold. I learned a great deal while executing during a crucial period in the software industry. Most importantly, I couldn't be more thankful for the people who made it all possible. When I announced my move to CodeRabbit, I shared where we stood: nearly 4 million PRs reviewed across 500k repositories. I ended that post with "we are just getting started." Turns out, we are still getting started :D Today, CodeRabbit reviews nearly 2 million PRs every week. More than 6 million repositories under review. More than 15,000 customers, many of them large enterprises. The open-source side alone has reviewed over 5 million PRs, and some of the most critical OSS projects depend on CodeRabbit every single day. Revenue grew manyfold along the way. Thank you, Harjot Gill, Guritfaq Singh, and Vishu Kaur, for your trust, speed, and room to build. You gave a growth leader a founder's seat at the table, and I will always value that. My team is my most valuable asset. They shipped launches, events, campaigns, and category-defining stories at a pace most companies can only dream of. Working with them was the best part of my job. And thank you to the developers in the CodeRabbit community. You added us to your repos, shared product feedback, and helped us build the future of AI Coding. We grew because of you! CodeRabbit's best days are ahead, and I will be cheering loudly. As for me, time to touch grass and, hopefully, something exciting. More on that soon! PS: A pic from our recent SKO

CRV is lucky to have partnered with both of these teams since the A. It's been a privilege to watch Alex Dhillon grow the team from 8 when we invested to the powerhouse they are today. They're tackling the biggest problems in cyber from their HQ in Williamsburg. KJ Dhaliwal is building a personalized doctor in your pocket and has unbounded ambition for how healthcare should be re-imagined in the US.

They recognized before anyone else that identity is the new perimeter, and they've continue to lead the industry as human, non-human, and agentic identities have exploded. Reid Christian liked thisReid Christian liked thisTwo months into my journey at CodeRabbit, and I can honestly say I couldn't have picked a better place to join. I've been blown away by the people, the product, and the pace at which we're building. As AI continues to accelerate software development, engineering teams are generating more code than ever before. That makes the code review process more important than ever. The bottleneck isn't writing code anymore—it's making sure that code is high quality, secure, and production-ready. That's exactly the problem CodeRabbit is solving, and it's been exciting to see the impact we're having across engineering teams. We're growing quickly and hiring across our go-to-market organization. If we've worked together before and you're interested in joining the ride 🚀, let's reconnect. Happy to answer any questions or make an introduction if it seems like a good fit. P.S. Sharing a couple of photos from our recent Sales Bootcamp in San Francisco. Looking forward to everything this team will accomplish together.

Reid Christian liked thisReid Christian liked thisThis may be one of the sharpest founders I’ve ever met. Meet Kahlil Lalji, the CEO & Co-founder of Natural. Besides placing 35 overall in the SF marathon last weekend, (without time to train) and being my personal fashion icon, he’s on his second payments company. My bet is Natural will dominate the agentic payments era. Kahlil identified a huge gap, before most people believed it would ever be a reality. He interviewed top founders before starting Natural and most could not conceptualize that agents would need to facilitate payments one day. He believed he was either very wrong, or very early. Seeing the agentic future, he leaned in. Natural.com has been around under a year, has a 13 product-suite, and is quickly becoming the default way for agents to have wallets, vaults, take voice payments and way more. They closed a seed round in a weekend, and already announced their Series A last month. AI has taken over the internet, now agents are taking over AI. Agents need a trusted way to move money, safely, securely, quickly. Natural is the way. My favorite part about my job is getting to do deep strategy sessions with some of the greatest founders of our time from the early stages, before you know their name, they'll build on Vercel. Natural 🤝 Vercel

🚀 Big milestone for Attio: today announcing a $52M Series B led by GV (Google Ventures), with Michael McBride joining the Board. This follows incredible momentum in customers, revenue, and team growth. But what excites us most remains the same as the very first day I met Nicolas Sharp four years ago, and the reason we have continued to back Attio from Seed through to Series A to now: game-changing product philosophy, world-class technological leadership and delivery, and resulting customer delight. From day one, Nicolas Sharp and Alexander Christie set out to build a new kind of CRM: ✨ Lightning fast and a delight to use ✨ Built on a flexible, modern data model ✨ All designed to give users full control to build a CRM that works for their GTM motion and seamlessly plug into the rest of their stack That foundation has proven to be exactly the right one. A new generation of GTM builders is emerging with Attio as their central pillar - including companies like Lovable, Granola, Modal and more. And the data model is perfect for building native AI functionality and allowing agents to work with the CRM - some of this is live, some is coming soon 👀 Nick and Alex have assembled a stellar team and have impressively scaled the organisation. Congratulations to them all on this funding milestone. Thank you for having us along for the ride over the past few years, and here’s to an epic next chapter ahead. Stealth is not a long-term strategy. Aaron Harris built YC's Series A program and has helped founders raise billions. He argues that by Series A, building in secret means you're missing critical information on where investors are actually excited. Great founders decide if they truly need capital, run live-market reads, then jump into their fundraise when the wave is cresting.

We expect NTAP to continue to be a leader in the all flash market. While the overall external storage market is only expected to grow 4% yoy in 2025, there were pockets of faster growth in certain media types (all flash +16% year-over-year) and data storage types (file +6%). Looking into 2026, IDC forecasts external storage to accelerate to +8% year-over-year growth lead by continued momentum in all flash (+13% yoy) and a recovery in block storage (+11% yoy). As a mature player with stable market share, we expect NTAP's top line to grow largely in-line with the industry in 2026 (+7% year-over-year growth in C2026, GSe).
