Scott Perricelli liked thisNili Capital’s first acquisition in the beauty and personal care space came after several years of mapping and following the industry. Thank you to Raz Yitzhak Kimhi. However the thesis goes back further to Berlin Packaging | Jansy and Brad Zaikov, Nathan Peters, and Jeremy Light. You taught me that a bow on a glass bottle and a box that could close securely could enhance and ultimately help sell quality beauty products. More to come.Scott Perricelli liked thisIsrael's beauty and personal care market has been consolidating around a small number of manufacturers with the formulation depth and regulatory infrastructure to serve global brands. We spent several years looking for the right one. Nili Capital is pleased to announce the acquisition of CHiC Cosmetic Industries. Founded in 1987 in Yavne, CHiC is one of Israel's leading manufacturers of beauty and personal-care products — a hybrid CDMO and brand owner serving domestic and international partners, with multi-decade customer relationships built on formulation expertise, GMP-certified quality, and four decades of reliable supply. David Y. joins as CEO and Zohar Houri as CFO. We could not ask for a better team to lead CHiC's next chapter. We are pleased to have partnered with Bank Hapoalim בנק הפועלים, who provided acquisition financing for the transaction. Our thanks to our financial advisors at Deloitte (Yaniv Raz and Ron Altberger) and our legal counsel at Goldfarb Gross Seligman (Adam M. Klein and Daniel Kahn), who advised us throughout. Scott Perricelli liked thisToday, we announced a strategic investment in Corestream from Lightyear Capital, and I want to take a moment to reflect on what this means. When we started Corestream in 2006, we believed employees deserved a better way to understand, access, and use their voluntary benefits. Nearly two decades later, that belief has never been stronger. With Lightyear Capital's deep expertise across insurance, fintech, and enterprise technology, combined with the continued support of LLR Partners, who have been incredible partners since 2019, we are positioned to accelerate everything we have been building toward. In many ways, this marks the beginning of Corestream’s next phase, one focused on greater scale, deeper innovation, and even more impact for the employees we serve. To the Corestream team: this milestone is a testament to your work. To the employees we serve, our clients, carriers, brokers, and partners: you are the reason we do this, and we are just getting started. I’m deeply proud of what we have accomplished and pumped for the future. HLTH25: Hinge Health and Omada broke the digital health IPO dry spell. The CEOs share their exit strategies Hinge Health and Omada Health were the first two digital health companies to go public this year after an IPO drought, and the industry has been counting on them to open the floodgates. The companies' exits were closely watched by investors, analysts and other digital health companies as a signal of a potential upswing in the public investor market. So, now that the digital health IPO window is open, when will the next group of companies follow? Analysts and market observers expect some digital health companies to go public in 2026 and are keeping an eye on potential candidates including Sword Health, Quantum Health, Transcarent and Maven. https://lnkd.in/eDjts9b4

Matt Holt, former New Mountain Capital executive, is exploring a $30 billion deal to combine five health tech startups into a single platform called Thoreau. The venture would set out to simplify and integrate services across payers, providers and data — and if completed, it would rank among the largest private equity-backed health tech companies ever. Time will tell if this massive consolidation ever gets completed or translates into real value — or if it's just another bet on scale.

Talking with Philip Settimi, MSE MD was a reminder that reliability is one of the most powerful forms of innovation. With over 25 years of experience and 3 billion data points, PartsSource delivers data-driven insights that power smarter purchasing decisions and measurable cost savings. The result is more uptime, more capacity, and more care delivered with the same resources. Seeing the company’s “mission control” platform in action, where hospitals track and optimize every critical device, was a glimpse into the future of hospital operations. It’s practical, scalable innovation built around the realities of how care gets delivered every day.

Longevity isn’t about living longer at any cost, it’s about living better for longer. Yet, the gap between healthspan and lifespan in the US is the highest in the world and has grown to over 12 years. This gap is 29% higher than the global average and means that, in general, we are living over a decade of life in a diseased state. I spend a lot of time thinking about how this shift from reactive to proactive care is evolving and what emerging strategies from the elite performance world can be applied to accelerate this transition. The focus becomes less about how long can we live, and more on how long can we maintain strength, cognition, metabolic health, and independence? I’m really looking forward to this conversation with three outstanding people operating in this space. Hope you can join us live, but if not, be sure to register to receive a recording of our conversation. Registration link in comments.

What’s Investable in Healthcare Right Now Yesterday I spent the afternoon at the Nashville Health Care Council Sessions event, surrounded by healthcare investors from across the spectrum: venture capital, lower middle market private equity, sovereign wealth funds (QIA), and Wall Street, discussing what’s truly investable in healthcare right now. A few clear themes emerged: 1. Profitability and strategy matter more than ever. Investors want companies that know their lane and stick to it. That means shedding unprofitable service lines, focusing on sustainable margins, and aligning business strategy with the policy environment. (Policy and strategy are inextricably linked!) 2. The Medicare pivot is here. With the last baby boomers aging into Medicare in 2029, the focus is shifting. The growth story is no longer about MA enrollment, it’s about controlling costs throughout the Medicare lifespan. Chronic kidney disease, orthopedics, home health, and specialty pharmacy are hot spots of excess spend. 3. Technology is the bridge to sustainability. AI tools that cut administrative burden, alleviate provider burnout, and help employers manage costs are investable today. LLMs are now table stakes, and it’s nonnegotiable to adopt these technologies, while recognizing the products will look very different in 3–5 years. 4. Consolidation and restructuring will happen. Home health is ripe for roll-ups, payors are the most likely buyers for healthcare IT, and large “pay-viders” (I hate that term) may need to divest of provider assets as Medicare Advantage economics change. Partnerships with strategics are more attractive than traditional PE playbooks. The bottom line: margins are compressing and labor will have to be cut, but technology will carry the industry across the chasm. Ultimately, investors are backing companies with the experience, network, and conviction to lead through this environment, "not just tourists who heard that healthcare was a fun place to visit” (quote of the day by Marcus Whitney).
