Yashad Kulkarni shared thisHands. Tried something new: a visual exploration pulled together from a century of archival shots, co-edited in Palmier plugged into Claude Opus + ChatGPT Astra. Used The Moving Image Archive + Destockd to grab the right visuals & its set to an instrumental of "Us" by Regina Spektor, one of my all-time favorites ✌🏽

Yashad Kulkarni shared thisWent on a little side quest recently, experimenting with ASCII art: I wired up a Maranta leuconeura (prayer plant) to a bunch of sensors (soil, temp, lux, co2, etc) + an overhead camera & usb microscope, all synced, firing every 10 minutes for 4 days. The result is this visualization that draws the plant from its own data! The ASCII text (most of it) is pulled straight from the sensor log, intro grows the leaf along its real vein network & glitch windows show actual cam/microscope photos from that exact timestamp. Check it out, cheers! 🌱🔬

Yashad Kulkarni reposted thisYashad Kulkarni reposted thisMy friend Yashad Kulkarni built a low-poly, PS1-inspired walkable memory of life with two little ones that (literally) run circles around him. It inspired me to build something too... This is Roadmap Raiders, a roguelike deckbuilder in the style of Slay the Spire, where you climb the product roadmap, fight the monsters every product manager knows — Scope Creep, the HiPPO, the Feature Factory — and recruit real Lenny's Podcast guests into your deck. Plays in your browser. Nothing to install. It was super fun using Lenny's Data, working with Nano Banana for programmatic image generation and defining the ambiance and experience, all through Claude Code. Very far from perfect (I love StS) but kinda works! You can check out my Github repo with a link to play here: https://lnkd.in/eeNRuXf8 Have fun and please drop a ⭐️ while you're at it! You should also give Yashad's game a walk around ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eJcYau33

Yashad Kulkarni shared thisFinally got around to playing with the Board SDK, making some stuff this weekend & its pretty awesome! The biggest hit was an interactive art museum filled with high-res images of paintings from Wikimedia Foundation that you scan for details by using the magnifying glass game piece & it tells you cool facts about the painting in an expressive ElevenLabs V3 voice. You can also flip to an “x-ray view” to see how the artist thought about composition/light & the images look super crisp on that screen! Pretty rad that I can just talk to Claude and make this on a Macbook Air in between pool, BBQ & smores over a long weekend! ✌🏽

Yashad Kulkarni liked thisYashad Kulkarni liked thisFor today’s Runway AI Summit, I designed “A Study of”—three zines about the ordinary things models have to learn. A door opening. A glass filling. A flower blooming. Things we understand without thinking. Praxis-1 brings Runway’s work on video pretraining into robotics. The zines explore the everyday physics behind that ambition through a fictionalized archive of ordinary actions, using video generated with Runway. I wanted to give physical form to how models learn, using deadpan repetition to draw a little more attention to the things we take for granted. Released exclusively at the Summit.

I made this video with Runway and GPT-Astra, combining archival and generated footage to explore what it feels like to create with technology in our current moment.

Yashad Kulkarni liked thisYashad Kulkarni liked thisThis was a fun one. Our team produced this video in house in the span of a couple weeks. The brief was to put this moment for AI in health on par with history's most ambitious, audacious projects—namely, the original moonshot. We cut together real audio from JFKs famous speech to create the script. We discovered a very cool album by Public Service Broadcasting (called The Race for Space) that gave us killer inspiration for the music and sound. We experimented with varied levels of spaceyness—we are not actually going to the moon, after all—and landed somewhere that I feel so proud of. The transition at :53 is my favorite part. Big credit to Olga Manousaridou, Becky Olstad, and Maggie Myers and the whole Sword crew.

Yashad Kulkarni liked thisYashad Kulkarni liked thisWe've done a lot of really cool customer stories at Ramp but this one was so much more than a new concept or vertical. The Denver Broncos Football Club has won three rings and eight conference championships. Behind that team is another one, running a multibillion-dollar business across five entities that has sold out every home game for more than fifty years. Sharon Erwin had never watched a full NFL game when the Broncos hired her fifteen years ago. What she does now is part of the business nobody sees and everything depends on. Justin Webster built the finance there to meet the same standard as the team on the field: everything working as one. 👉 Check out their full story here: https://lnkd.in/gBtx65TR Big thanks to Sharon, Justin, Allie Engelken, Eleri MacKay, and everyone at the Broncos for letting us into your beautiful new facility and your partnership! Best part about this team behind the team story was my team. Tyler Ford is a creative genius, Colton Farrow is a master of his craft, and Amanda Alvich picked up the ball from Karly Snajczuk to bring this to life. Kathleen Casey, Silas Reeves, Mason Melnick, and so many more brought so much hustle and heart into this. And the story will continue next week at our user conference OnRamp, where Justin will take the stage with our very own Guy Cartwright and other finance leaders redefining the sports industry. Stay tuned! So grateful to bring a story of my hometown team to the world with all of you! 🏔️

Yashad Kulkarni liked thisYashad Kulkarni liked thisOpus 5.5 dropped a few hours ago, and look what it made me do 😵💫 1 hour of iterating. 9 prompts total. Here’s the result :) There are still details I’d polish of course, but I’m so excited about how quickly I could get the vision out of my head and onto the screen, let alone a whole motion video. Fellow designers, go try these tools on that thing you’ve been wanting to make. No one is stoping you to be creative and fully express yourself. There’s so much we can do with them now 🤪 Want to see how I got here? Happy to share the full prompt sequence!

Sara Wilczynska is a Google software engineer turned watercolor artist in San Diego. She uses AI to help her as a business owner with planning, bookkeeping, copyediting, and coaching. However, she says she has a clear boundary of not using AI to generate any of her actual artwork. https://lnkd.in/eXWC9Uas #AnArtistUsingAI #2RunHerBusiness #ExplainsWhySheIsntWorried #AboutReplacingArtists

AI isn’t replacing virtual production - it’s redefining how we create worlds. I’ve been digging into Post Magazine’s latest outlook on the future of AI in virtual production, and the takeaway is refreshingly grounded: * The real impact of AI isn’t flashy automation, it’s workflow compression and creative freedom. On the creative side: AI-assisted tools are making it faster to build and iterate on virtual environments. Techniques like NeRFs and Gaussian splats can turn real-world footage into navigable 3D spaces. Directors and DPs are shifting from asset builders to world designers. High-end visuals are becoming more accessible beyond big studios. On the technical / AI side: We’re moving toward world models. AI systems that generate coherent, editable 3D environments. Image quality is improving (HDR, EXR, higher resolutions), but native 6K–8K output is still a hurdle. Upscaling tools (from companies like NVIDIA) help bridge the gap, but they’re not a silver bullet. Ethics, provenance, and IP certification remain critical blockers for full production adoption. The tension is the point ~ AI is powerful enough to change virtual production workflows today, but not yet mature enough to be used without scrutiny on professional sets. For anyone working in Applied Generative AI, filmmaking, virtual production, or creative tech, the question isn’t “Will AI be used?” It’s “Who designs the rules, standards, and creative intent around it?” Curious how others are approaching this balance between speed, quality, and trust in AI-driven production.

Most people think AI video is just prompting. It’s not. The real work is imagining the scene first. Our team just created a cinematic moment of Moses parting the Red Sea for our Bible in a Year series. Before any AI tools were used, we had to picture it: The scale of the sea. The walls of water rising. The tension of the moment. Then we used Gemini Nano Banana Pro 2 and Veo 3.1 to bring that vision to life. But even then the work is not done. Music creates the emotion. Sound design makes it believable. Coloring sets the tone. AI is powerful. But storytelling still starts with imagination.
