If your Datadog metrics bill is spiralling out of control, Metrics without Limits might be your solution. In 2025, observability costs can make or break budgets. MwL offers a path to significant savings with minimal effort by reducing metric cardinality - but only when applied strategically. Here's my approach to maximising MwL impact without breaking your data: Start with Dataiker intelligence 🔍 • Identify your top cost-driving metrics where MwL delivers the biggest savings • Analyse cardinality, active tags, and aggregations to estimate potential reductions Apply surgical precision • Use Datadog's Metric Summary to manage tags and reduce cardinality selectively • Remember: querying metrics changes active tags/aggregations, so timing matters Avoid the traps ✔️ • MwL isn't universally beneficial - it can sometimes increase cardinality • Always verify impact before applying changes to avoid nasty surprises The key is treating each metric individually rather than applying blanket rules. I've seen teams achieve 40% cost reductions whilst others accidentally increased their bills by rushing the process. Have you experimented with Metrics without Limits yet? What's been your biggest challenge with Datadog cost optimisation? 💡

"In 2023, the conversation was: What is EHR-to-EDC? Who is Ignite Data? Today, sites say: We get it. How do we implement this at our organization?" — Carson Goff The market has matured almost overnight. What was once an unfamiliar concept is now a pressing demand. Sites and sponsors alike are asking not if but how fast they can scale. Competition validates the space. Demand proves the timing is right. And IgniteData is at the center of this shift. Every click, search, and swipe adds to a growing digital ocean — and businesses that don’t learn to navigate it risk being swept away. This is a fact that has come to stay. #DataAnalytics #DigitalTransformation #BigData #InformationTower #DataStrategy

I keep being amazed by how much emphasis there is on 'getting data products up and running in minutes'. If I was a CEO, and someone told me that a solution could actually deliver 'immediate, actionable insights to disrupt my market and that kind of thing', I wouldn’t mind if it took a week or two to build 🙂
