Corgi is coming out of stealth with a total of $108M raised to give startups better insurance. Corgi is the first and only insurance carrier designed specifically for startups and technology companies, and allows them to get covered in minutes, instead of days. The product includes core coverages such as directors and officers (D&O) liability, errors and omissions (E&O) liability, cyber, commercial general liability (CGL), hired and non-owned auto (HNOA), fiduciary liability, AI liability and more. Insurance is a critical part of how businesses operate, but it’s still run on legacy systems: brokers, paperwork, and annual policy cycles that don’t match how modern companies move. That makes it slow, expensive, and hard to adapt as companies scale. Unlike legacy insurance companies, or brokers who sell policies from these legacy carriers, Corgi operates on modern infrastructure built for speed. This allows the team to deliver faster, cheaper, and better coverage for high-growth technology companies. Congratulations to Nico Laqua, Emily Yuan, and the Corgi team on the launch!

Insurance is one of those categories everyone hates but can’t avoid, which makes speed and clarity a real wedge. Building the carrier itself, not just a broker layer, feels like the kind of infrastructure bet that only makes sense once you really understand startup pain at scale. Congrats to the team.

Speaking from experience, insurance is one of the least founder-friendly experiences out there. If Corgi can combine modern underwriting with a painless claims experience, it’s genuinely differentiated. Big gap in the market.

Insurance has lagged product velocity for years. Startups scale monthly, risk models still update annually. If coverage can finally move at software speed, this becomes real infrastructure, not paperwork.

Curious how Corgi thinks about adapting coverage as startups change fast, headcount jumps, new markets, AI risk, etc. If the product can truly evolve with the company instead of locking you into annual assumptions, that’s a big unlock. Congrats to the team on coming out of stealth 🚀

This is a big unlock for founders. Insurance has been a painful, slow, broker-heavy bottleneck for startups for way too long. Designing it natively for how tech companies actually operate, fast, dynamic, and scaling, feels long overdue. Congrats to the Corgi team on coming out of stealth

Congratulations to the Corgi team on this impressive milestone. Revolutionizing insurance for startups is no small feat, and it's exciting to see how modern infrastructure can streamline this process. How do you plan to continue adapting your offerings as the AI landscape evolves?

Insurance isn't credit card - people rarely switch; One of my previous employer switched and it was a chaos - from card details to updating all the vendors, it was a nightmare... Adding "AI" to insurance doesn't solve this problem..
