Rainier Valley Rising: Celebrating Our Grand Opening
On Sunday September 7th, 2025, neighbors and community members gathered to celebrate the Grand Opening of our new community food hub. It was truly a day to remember as the renewed space filled with excitement, music, and the buzz of connection. This is a dream that's been realized after more than ten years in the making, and we've finally arrived!

A Year of Transformation Powered By Community Care
Throughout the past year and a half, we’ve watched transformation blossom at Rainier Valley Food Bank throughout the course of our building’s renovation. As we approach the other side, with our community food hub almost complete, we’re reflecting on all that this time has brought us. We’ve come to realize that one thing is true: our work through this season has been powered by community care.

Share Your Voice: A Guide on Advocating for Anti-Hunger and Anti-Poverty Policies in Washington State
More of our neighbors are experiencing stress, anxiety, and depression due to economic factors and food and housing program at risk. Voicing our opinions is one way to stand for anti-hunger and anti-poverty policies, including contacting your local politicians and state and federal legislators.

2023 Annual Report
Throughout 2023, the RVFB community focused on opportunity. We have seen our programs grow, with our SPARK To-Go Lunch program serving between 75-90 clients daily and our grocery service swelling to 200 clients per session. We've seized this opportunity, forming partnerships with church neighbors and other nonprofits to build our service capacity. As we look ahead to our expansion and continued growth, we deeply appreciate your continued support.
