House Public Safety Co-Chairs Representative Kelly Moller, DFL – Shoreview, and Representative Paul Novotny, R – Elk River, are joined by a bipartisan group of legislators to detail new domestic violence laws that will take effect on August 1, 2026. Lawmakers seek to build public understanding and knowledge of the laws to make them more effective and protect more Minnesotans.

Senator Erin Maye Quade, DFL-Apple Valley, is joined by advocates at the Minnesota State Capitol to highlight Minnesota’s ban on AI “nudification” technology, which takes effect on August 1, 2026. The legislation bans the use, advertisement, and dissemination of this technology in the state, allows victims of nudification to seek relief in civil court, and imposes heavy fines on individuals or organizations that facilitate unlawful access and use of the technology.

Following several motorcycle accidents this summer, Senator Judy Seeberger, DFL-Afton, local motorcyclists from the Litas Motorcycle Collective and St. Croix Valley Riders, and Office of Traffic Safety Director Mike Hanson host a press conference to raise awareness about motorcycle and traffic safety.
