As executive editor of Status, Jon oversees all editorial and helps drive the publication’s agenda-setting coverage of the media, Hollywood, and the powerful institutions shaping the information economy. Before joining Status, Jon directed CNN’s daily coverage of the media industry, edited the influential Reliable Sources newsletter, and spearheaded national news reporting. Earlier in his career, he served as the Los Angeles bureau chief at BuzzFeed News, and held senior editing roles at AOL and Fox News.
Brett has reported on politics, media, and business, and how those worlds often collide. He has spent his career leading teams in high-impact newsrooms and in publishing, most recently at Yahoo Finance, Business Insider, and the Wharton School, helping audiences make sense of fast-moving news cycles, complex stories, and the personalities behind them. When he's not working, he can usually be found spending time with his wife and daughter, and/or attempting to tire out his dog.

At Vanity Fair, Natalie produced in-depth features on prominent media figures and chronicled the evolving media landscape with reporting on upstart and legacy organizations. In her spare time, she enjoys books generally classified as “beach reads,” collecting editions of old magazines, and consuming every reality TV show known to man.
