SAVE
On June 22, 2026, a Federal Judge ruled that the DHS System of Records Notices issued in
October 2025, and the Social Security System of Records Notice issued in November 2025 are
invalid. To comply with this court order, SAVE is suspending the processing of cases which
utilize social security numbers and bulk upload processes until further notice.
Fraud Alert: Reports of Scam Calls Impersonating USCIS
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has received reports of individuals receiving unsolicited phone calls from scammers posing as USCIS representatives or other immigration-related organizations such as SAVE.
USCIS may contact customers, employers, employees, or agencies in connection with SAVE or E-Verify cases, account management, compliance activities, or program operations. Customers should remain cautious of callers requesting immigration-related information, money, financial information, or other sensitive personal information.

SAVE is an online service for registered federal, state, territorial, tribal, and local government agencies to verify immigration status and U.S. citizenship of applicants seeking benefits or licenses.
SAVE does not determine an applicant's eligibility for a specific benefit or license. The benefit-granting or licensing agency determines eligibility for each benefit they administer.
SAVE is administered by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), a component of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
