Language specific Delimiter

I see the , als Delimiter of the number of functions at the Mainpage and when I look at the language specific main page template for German I see a . as the Delimiter. Do you know what is the reason for this behaviour. The number of functions in the Template is higher than the one I see at the Main page. It is not easy to find the right delimiter as it can differ within a language. It depends on the country and there sometimes on the region what is the most common delimiter for numbers. The language code is already passed from the including page to the template using {{int:lang}}, so passing that along to formatnum as argument two should resolve the issue of the main page always showing a comma (the template page itself is defaulting to English). Promotion of multilingual functions

Could we replace the following?

Support Support do you have a suggestion for the second replacement? 99of9 (talk) 00:46, 23 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
No, I couldn't find a function that performs a similar task. It would be great to showcase a function that works with lexemes in the spirit of Z19514 (useful but not overly complicated). Autom (talk) 08:13, 24 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
The generalisation of Z19514 would be first text of lexeme matching grammatical features (Z19530). See also the several other times this topic has been raised here in the archives. YoshiRulz (talk) 15:03, 26 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
