Kirsten Dunst Reveals If She Would Return for Mattson Tomlin’s Version of Spider-Man 4

It can certainly get debatable when thinking who is your favourite Spider-Man, but there will never be any argument among fans when the idea of Tobey Maguire and Kristen Dunst reprising their role in Spider-Man 4 is thrown around.

In fact, after the events of No Way Home, rumors swirled around Maguire’s web-slinger's potential revival of the character, but we know how that unfolded. Nope, nothing, and nada. Mattson Tomlin, co-writer of The Batman and The Batman Part 2, even pitched the potential idea for the sequel. “Honestly, right now my main interest in this respect would be to write a Spider-Man 4 where Tobey’s Spider-Man is juggling being a husband and a father.”

As interesting as this plot sounds, of course, there has been no word on this. However, during an appearance on The Supes Show, Kirsten Dunst reflected on Tomlin’s idea of Spider-Man and MJ parenting while Peter continues his Spider-Man duties. She said, “Yeah, that would be cool, right? I mean, I don’t know if the fans are into it. I feel like that is an interesting movie, right? Me and Tobey doing that again? But with kids?”

While there seems to be no whispers about what will unfold in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man universe, we are still hopeful for Maguire’s —even if it’s within Tom Holland’s Spider-Man timeline—because with the multiverse in play, you never know!
